Nibotha recklessly playing vengence [TG]

Post by rousseau72 »

nibotha

The accused are suspected of:

Reckless Playing based on a grudge of player rating.

All three of the following games are occuring in a tournament (Elite escalating)
https://www.conquerclub.com/player.php? ... nt_id=5847
NIbotha has no chance to win and I am tied for 1st
This happens right after I post a negative player rating on me after the previous pick up games where he was playing similarly against me as well.
Game number(s):
https://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=17843386
In this game - he plays a set early to attack my strongest stack despite having much easier ways to card. There was no benefit for him to take me down.
https://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=17843385
This game - he also played a set to try to take out my largest stack. You can argue that he could get a +1 bonus but its doubtful he could hold it.
https://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=17843384
This game - he targets me most of the time. Not as bad as the other two but that is probably because he does not have a set yet

When I've reported stuff like this before everyone has just piled in to declare that deliberately preventing someone winning is not game throwing and I'm just being a baby for complaining.

If Nibotha is deliberately trashing you in these games then I'm on your side but I'm afraid the clan nerds that run this site think this sort of behavior is just fair game.

Correct, swdk. It is fair game.
Think about it.
The inverse would be to tell a player ''Since I'm currently ahead, you must let me win''.
Now that would be grotesque.
rousseau, if your strategy (or luck...) isn't strong enough to resist nabotha's attacks then you need to go back to the drawing room and rethink it.

For my notes
Reference: Game 17737074

2017-09-29 23:19:51 - rousseau72: cyan you may say its too late but how about a truce between throne and great hall lasting at least 7 rounds with a 1 turn notice?
2017-09-29 23:20:43 - rousseau72: i too will fight to the death there
2017-09-30 10:18:39 - nibotha: We can card on great hall 4
2017-10-01 01:44:58 - rousseau72: no - its not carding - i need to have a bonus just like you
2017-10-01 01:45:12 - rousseau72: we can card off of midland 2
2017-10-01 01:45:25 - rousseau72: let me know if we have a deal
2017-10-01 10:37:53 - rousseau72: no reply so sorry - cyan
2017-10-01 14:42:06 - nibotha: Bonus in an escalating game at this level?
2017-10-01 14:42:58 - nibotha: You proposed a truce, I accepted it
2017-10-01 14:43:20 - nibotha: Kamikaze time I guess
2017-10-02 22:46:12 - rousseau72: nibotha - noted that you irrationally played in another game (the British Isles) irrationally to get vengence in this game. I think that is unethical behavior and it just goes to prove your lower player rating

He complains too much. He accuses me of cheating-I don't see any evidence of that. In British Isles game I accidentally gifted him the game due to a miscalculation yet he accuses me of singling him out. One of the reasons I have attacked him in this round of the tournament is because he is winning. This is a good tactic in my opinion. In a game in first round of tournament he attacks me for no personal gain (by trying to grab a bonus in an escalating game which I think is counterproductive but each player has his own tactics and I don't accuse him of "cheating") He then asks for a truce which I am up for but he attacks me anyway.
What exactly am I being accused of as I don't think I have cheated or broken any rules.

Have you followed protocol.
1) tourney organiser
2)tourney directors
3) c and a

If not would be advisable to do it.

Ps i would also add he may be targeting you to prevent u getting ahead more. He cannot attack the other stage 1 as they arent there.

However unpleasant, I don't think this should be in C&A.

I do not see enough in the game logs in the games you have mentioned to see a violation of any of our C&A rules as they stand

This is CLEARED

I will contact the tourney organizers.
Here is another example of a game:
https://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=17843385
I have a 12 stack in an 8 player game. He takes my stack out instead of going for much easier stacks. It is not like he is getting an advantage to himself by just taking me out. If this is not a violation then I see no other choice but for me to attack him in other games until he stops his behavior.
Please advise if you see a better solution to this
