I can play Northwest Passage without map inspect. Yes, it's difficult, but no more difficult than some other maps with complex connections like Stalingrad or Bamboo Jack. Obviously not a beginner map, but by no means impossible. In fact, I would put the three of them -- NP, SG, and BJ -- as very similar in difficulty level and for similar reasons.Donelladan wrote:Northwest Passage might be beautiful but is almost unplayable without the map inspect.
This kind of map should be forbidden, if it's impossible to understand how the regions are connected, ban the map.
The first King's Court is nice, but the giant one is too much for me. I hate maps that won't fit on one screen. All that scrolling around to find out what the hell is happening. Even with map inspect it's difficult to get a clear strategic picture. At any given moment half of the map is off-screen. Maybe for young people will more flexible neurons not a big deal, but I really struggle.Donelladan wrote:Both King's Court map are underrated, way too few games available on those map, any settings.

yeah i like it for no spoils, trench would be cool havent done that yet, nuke would scare me a bit here tho lolHitRed wrote:Clearly Salem's Switch is undiscovered gold. I like FOG and any choice of options. Cards, no cards, trench, doubles, nuclear...It's all good! The design is masterful.
One of the few maps that a defensive strategy can really shine.
Plays out like the Battle Of Midway where a unexpected encounter with the enemy leads to a major deep striking battle. Lots of Gotcha!
Wish I met the designer!
