The flag indicating my location has not changed.

Must be cookies preventing it.

Maybe if I am forced to sign in again it will switch but I'm on shady hotel wifi so I'm not keen on that.

It's nothing to do with cookies. It's based on your IP, and where you buy your internet access from.

My ISP (Worldline) usually has me as Canadian (only once it showed me as in the U.S), but it flutters all over Canada. Sometimes when I click Local News I get local news from Vancouver (2700 miles away), other times Calgary (closer, but still pretty damn far), other times Montreal (closer again, but still six hours away.) It's funny when it pegs me in Montreal, because YouTube tries to feed me commercials in French.

So, you figure this hotel and the last one are getting Internet from Canada?

Seperate Chains in the US.

Hundreds of miles apart.

This one routed through a Corporate network in California. I know because of the odd message that came up when I first signed in.

Probably providing me with Internet from Canada so I don't get homesick.

Looks like you have no active games. Your stats won't update if you're not taking any turns.

No active games during the summer while I might be away from Internet for days at a time? That's possible.

Well, it might not have been cookies but I decided to risk (see what Idid there?) signing in through the shady Internet routed through California and now Old Glory flies on my profile.

Dag blam it.

I had old glory for a while. I planned to avoid signing in so it would stay then I accidentally deleted my cookies forcing me to sign in at the wife's house. Now I'm back to the maple leaf.
