Osok68 has been throwing multiple games to ensure I do not win any games. If it was a one off occurrence, or if there was a clear benefit to him tournament-wise, then I can accept that as par for course. But since this has been happening across all our remaining games, combined with the fact he has 3 other players rate him as a suicider, I felt he has cross the boundaries and has well and truly broken the rules in regards to unwritten rule of throwing games.

This is the game that started it all. Note that this is in a separate tournament to the others.
[game]18398579[/game] - He says: "the only thing you do is f*ck up my winning and getting angry at you next stage of the tourney and all other tourneys". I explain my reasoning and disagreement in the game chat. At the end he claims "now you can see what red did: demolish my chance and not having a chance himself," , yet as you'll note in the final score, he actually came equal first in troop count, and I was only 11 troops behind. From this point on he proceeded to be hostile to me in all our games.

Below are a list of games he has clearly thrown or declared intention to do so.

[game]18437345[/game] - Clear case of suiciding in round 28. I took Europe with a token resistance of 2 troops at Madrid. At this stage the three remaining players were equally matched with the third player being slightly in the lead. He then proceeded to hit me with everything he's got, making it trivial for yellow to win.

[game]18437344[/game] - He says out of the blue in round 35 "i think denominator wins this game...", despite being troop and deployment leader. He backed off after some chatting, however in the final round he sacrificed his own chance of winning to ensure that I don't win. From my notes:
"Beginning of round 50, troop counts are 177,178,174." for Osok68, demoninator and myself respectively.
"After Osaka's turn, after he deployed 5 troops: 173, 178, 156. He killed 18 of my troops over 3 regions losing 9 troops."


[game]18437343[/game] - This game is still in progress, but he declared he would suicide against me to ensure I don't win. To clarify, I asked "why would you say yellow and red are on edge to win if we are the two leaders?" and he replied "because im coming to get you...". Its worth noting that the game dynamic has since changed and is still ongoing. But I maintain that his comment, given his previous action, is more than just psychological warfare.


What is done is done, but I'm filing this report to send a clear message that throwing games is against the rules and is detrimental to the enjoyment of CC as whole. I hope after this he changes his behaviour for the benefit of all.

It means nothing to say 3 other players rated me a suicider too. Actually there were more players who rated me that way the past few years. Let me say about that: i had my reasons or it was a counter-attack or no suicide at all. non the less, none of the players accused me on c&a.
I have to admitt the last years the concentration of fanatic players get higher because a lot of recreational players left the site, so the fighting gets meaner/dirtyer. But i never accuse anybody at c&a, better; i almost always give a 5-star rating so new players stay on the site ( i even try to talk them in from pokerstars, the prove is on my wall).And my own rating is still 4.9...Who cares, but you started about my ratings/tags.

At lats the real thing: this guy hitted me over the top in one game, even tried to talk a player into take over my bonus( europe) that would cost both players most of our troops, it was really laughable. In another game he was also manipulating the shit out of me/us and he still does on the last active game, he is like that adviser of the sick wizard in the lord of the rings
He says it was not that hard of an attack, but it was over 20 down the new first placed, costed more than 40 troops i think, have to look it back. The thing that pissed me off is that he himself was chanceless after that, so why do it that hard? Ok, in the end it doesn look that bad in army-count, but thats always in the end, everybody is tapping somewhat, per saldo the outcome was clear.

I think overall this is just another problem that comes from the nature of round limit games. I've been saying for a while that round limits are the worst thing to happen to tournament games in a long time.

On the footer, there is a link to the rules, and the first example given for "Unwritten Rules" is throwing games. I believe it is "unwritten" in the sense that it is not defined precisely, allowing common sense judgement of the situation.

Game chat is there for a reason. I can understand you are being annoyed at being accused in C&A, but manipulative talking ( = diplomacy ) is part of the game.

Oh, I agree diplomacy is part of the game, but I've played games where I am leading and someone uses diplomacy to get a coalition to bring me down - and I make damn sure the person who organized the coalition loses the game along with me - and that is part of the game too.

I also noticed this but it's more on the perception of players who are in the lead at the endgame that anyone who attacks them should be punished and be seen as cheating/game throwing.

That is an understandable logic to a point which can put the rule of game throwing in a grey area. It is human nature to find a way by any means to survive and also to react when threatened. If, however, at the start of the game you were after a certain player, that is obvious intention.
