A lot of maps you can say the same! "Lucky" drops and dice can over run even the bravest hearts!? What you are experiencing is called the downs, as in ups & downs!?xroads wrote:Seriously, who designed such a stupid map that whoever gets Aoria or Borum usually wins

Should never have been let out of the foundry with the massive deploy imbalances that can happen.Donelladan wrote:+1HitRed wrote:xroads wrote:I know there are tons of maps (Pearl Harbor) that suck for 1vs1 play

That and All your Base are the only 2 maps I still avoid. I know All your Base is simple I just only play it once every year and I never do it right.Dukasaur wrote:Northwest Passage.
I love Northwest Passage. It's a great map.Ltrain wrote:That and All your Base are the only 2 maps I still avoid. I know All your Base is simple I just only play it once every year and I never do it right.Dukasaur wrote:Northwest Passage.
If the first player doesn't go on an insane bombarding run, stalingrad is one of my favorite maps
AOR2 is just fine. It's AOR1 that sucks complete fully suction ass. Maybe that was just assumed.
What's the history there, if any CC nerds are still reading. Was AOR1 made, it kinna sucked, made AOR2, it was kinna awesome, so AOR3 was made for those who wanted to get weird? Or were they all made around the same time

Ah cool thanks I was wondering. And like Duka said, I've been tutored on it i just didnt get part of the end game scenario. Something about the bonus and the movement at the end doesn't add up. I'm sure I'm missing somethingKoolBak wrote:Ltrain....Dim, who was a good friend but gone now I believe, made those all at the same time if I recall. He just has ideas for differing play. I actually like aor I but, assuming all the players know the map, it is pretty much all about the drop. He also did age of merchants which can be similar.
All yo bases is my fave map. Love it, especially in say triples or quads. If youd like to learn it, happy to do a one v one and go step by step.
I'm just a huge sci-fi fan so it appeals....lol
