As Steely Dan says in the song Do It Again "But the hangman isn't hangin"

No hanging today. To me it doesn't look like he was deadbeating to gain an advantage for his team. For about a week starting on 4 July he wasn't logging in everyday. He has 2 active games and both are 12 player doubles. He doesn't have a history of deliberately deadbeating and 97% turns taken. I am gong to give him the benefit of the doubt. I will however NOTE for future reference just in case I am wrong.

Bonuses and territory count, for starters.

Then, you think about regions, and position. What type of affect does position have in a game with fog, trench, unlimited or adjacent reinforcements, etc.

The topic you linked is about on old rule that doesn't exist anymore.

Before deadbeating the accused team was dropping 66 + 21 troops, 87 troops/turns.
After deadbeating the accused team is droping 89 troops/turns.

63 troops were lost by deadbeating.

So they'll get even in 31 turns.

Maybe I am missing something but I doubt it could be a good move.

Nevertheless this is one of the extremely rare case where it could be useful, a stalemate game where no ones attack. Because otherwise it's kinda impossible to make that a good move except if you are super lucky ( thus making it very difficult to work intentionally).

I know they have been only noted, but I just like to remind that in general deadbeating is not a viable strategy, like almost ever.

Well yeah, it's an old rule. The reason I linked it was because the player accused was cleared because he took his turn and did not deadbeat his third consecutive turn.
