The Anti-Benghazi

Post by saxitoxin »

Under Obama, the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was easily stormed by protesters. Obama did nothing for fear of offending one of his San Francisco campaign donors. The Ambassador was dragged from the compound and lynched, his body then paraded through the streets.

Under Trump, the chancery of the U.S. embassy in Baghdad was thronged by thousands of radical demonstrators. Upon Trump's command, a flight of American-made Boeing AH-64 Apaches - each armed with 38 HYDRA 7 rockets, 8 Hellfire missiles, and 1200 rounds of 30mm shells - made several low passes over the crowd firing flares as a final warning to the demonstrators that they would be turned into red dust if dared set one foot in an American chancery. The protesters immediately fled. Ambassador safe. Trump and America wins again.

I'm watching these big, beautiful helicopters looped to a dance version of the Battle Hymn of the Republic - "I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps, His day is marching on!"

The posturing of the US military against unarmed civilians in the act of exercising their right to protest is worrying. The UN should implement a no-fly zone over Baghdad immediately, for the safety of Iraq's people, as well as considering economic sanctions against the US in general and American military leaders in particular.

Most of the protesters were in combat fatigues.

Yeah I'm minded to sue the state for racial discrimination. Palau did the same thing too, this sick Apartheid 2.0 needs nipping in the bud before it gets out of hand.

Wow, Iran's second most powerful leader as well as one other top official wiped out in a US air strike in Iraq. Quite the retaliation after his militia forces graffiti'd his name on (and attempted to burn) the US embassy in Baghdad just two days ago!

Dont think I will ever get used to just how evil the americans are.

A few positives that may help to change things, the Chinese now have more warships than the americans, the Russians are a generation, not a decade, but a generation ahead of the americans in war technology and the world is dropping the american dollar as the nations repatriate their gold.

The writing is on the wall, the american empire is in decline and will lose significant importance as time goes by.
The world has had enuff of them, the trick is to prevent a nuclear war.
Not an easy task when they are lead by psychopaths.
It gonna take time.

Happy new year everyone.

Yeah China's 400 buckets of rust, like its 1970s ex Indian carrier are definitely a force to be feared. LMAO. But Chinese phantom numbers do serve our interest because it keeps places like Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and the ROK chained to our yoke out of fear. We can abuse them as much as we want as long as it's one iota less than the treatment they fear they might get from a Chinese hegemony. Meanwhile we can continue to freely stir unrest through covert payments to dissidents in Hong Kong to destabilize alternate financial centers.

The US spends three times more on war tech than China and Russia combined. and all of it is offensive weaponry. We have no borders to defend since we've created meek client states to our north and south.

Russia's press releases about hypersonic missiles reveal nothing but their need to publicize modest achievements to distract from that fact. We had operational stealth aircraft in the early 1980s before we announced their existence in the 1990s. And then it was only out of necessity since we decided to use them in the field. Our unpublicized hypersonic tech is no doubt spades above Russia. Because we can afford the best and newest of everything.

LOL @ Iran

After the attack, Iran and the Democrats threatened to retaliate against America so the U.S. has now taken a victory lap and just off'ed another six of their commanders.

https://twitter.com/hxhassan/status/121 ... 09632?s=19

Iran and the Democrats are now saying they're SERIOUSLY going to fight back this time! Still no actual retaliation, just threats and fist shaking from the Mullahs and Pocahontes Warren. =D>

President Trump can do what he wants, when he wants, to whom he wants.

Except those economies all hate the USA and are busy making friends with China so that they can finally 'ditch the bitch':

The defence ministers of South Korea and China have agreed to develop their security ties to ensure stability in north-east Asia, the latest indication that Washington’s long-standing alliances in the region are fraying.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/1 ... ul-demand/

For more than half a century, U.S. power in Asia has rested on the alliance system that Washington built in the years after World War II. Now, a dispute between Japan and South Korea—the two most important pillars of that system—threatens to undo decades of progress.

But instead of seeking to actively mediate between its allies, Washington has largely watched from the sidelines—leaving the field to China, which has moved quickly to benefit from U.S. inaction. At a trilateral summit with the Japanese and South Korean foreign ministers in late August, for instance, China encouraged the two sides to at least put aside their differences long enough to make progress on a trilateral trade deal.

https://www.scmp.com/business/commoditi ... hield-them

Singapore on Monday (Apr 29) inked five partnerships with China in the areas of business, customs enforcement and infrastructure investment.

Four memorandums of understanding (MOUs) and a framework agreement were signed at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse by representatives from both countries, including Singapore’s Trade and Industry Minister Chan Chun Sing.

The signing was witnessed by Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.

I’m not convinced either way here.

I want to know what the guy was doing in Iraq.

If he was on some official diplomatic then the killing (at this time) is probably unjustified.

If he was in Iraq meeting with militias/terrorists who operate in Iraq but are supported by Iran...

Well i this case he is essentially acting as the modern / 4th Gen Warfare equivalent of a battlefield commander in an active military zone... and he’s therefore a legitimate target.

So was the US ‘rash’ in hitting this guy... maybe... but if top military leaders didn’t think this was a good move they never would have presented it to Trump. Everyone is blaming Trump for being rash, and this may be true, but he’s not acting’s a bubble.

And will Economic Recession follow if Iranians target Saudis oilfields and/or close Strait of Hormuz? They have capabilities and know-how how to do both.
In my eyes Iran can't win a war with US, but US also can't get more than pyrrhic victory. Lose-Lose situation!

The USA exports oil. When Churhill was Lord of the Admiralty he realized ships would be better switching from coal to oil. He help found the predecessor of BP. We are now moving from the petrochemical century to the renewable century. The Middle East/oil is worth LESS than 30 years ago.

Good point. If Saudi oilfields go up in flames it's a win for the shale industries in Pennsylvania and Ohio. We need to win at least one of those states in 2020 to guarantee four more years. And it would cripple the Chinese economy allowing us to extract more trade concessions.

Please hit the oilfields, Iran!
