wasnt it a metiorite that wasn't actually very big but it landed on huge sulpher deposits in mexico that created a poisonous dust cloud that violently reshifted the earths climate and covered the sun for months

What killed the dinosaurs? We know video killed the radio star, but what or who killed the dinosaurs? Was it Ms. Scarlet in the conservatory with the candlestick? Or was it simply the lack of oxygen.

Yes, oxygen. Back in the age of dinosaurs there was a lot more of it than there is today. Forget the minute amounts of CO2, it's O2 that makes the world go round. Dinosaurs were wonderful mighty creatures, large, in charge, and not anything like cold blooded reptiles you see today. Unfortunately, they also didn't have diaphrams. They didn't need to. There was plenty of Oxygen in the air so breathing was no sweat.

But eventually all that excess oxygen made from volcanoes stoped and the large dinosaurs started to die. Then to add insult to injury a large asteroid hit. Then to add spite to the insult a stupid rodent survived. The reodent evolved intoa human, the human evolved into Al Gore and Al Gore blamed everything on global warming.

So there you have it. The dinosaurs died because Al Gore touches his powerpoint at night.

I am so glad I wasn't drinking when I read these lines, my head would have probably exploded from snorting the drink up into my brain from laughter. Kudos on the comedic act, but next time play something different from Cluedo.
I'm gonna have to disagree though on the oxygen point though. Rather then being too much oxygen 65 million years ago, there actually wasn't enough. CO2 was far higher than it was today, because the volcano traps in India were just being formed. Plus the Earth was heating up anyway, naturally. Reptiles are not so responsive to change as mammals, so maybe the dinosaurs might not have survived anyway. The asteroid was just extremely bad luck on their part as it finished the job.

Oh and before i go, not all dinosaurs died!!! One group survived, and we see them practically everywhere today. They are the birds.
Don't believe me, go and watch Walking with Dinosaurs.

Puppet slayers. Yep. Best hidden historical fact. That's why the dinos run with the Gods instead of over you humans.

In the words of Churchill: "Ohhh yeesssssssssss". (The dog, not person)

No, the crocs are not related to dionsaurs directly, however they both came from the same family group, so you could say they are like cousins.
