Whats metagaming?

Making assumptions based on results of another game about roles, behavior, etc.

It might not be clicking yet, so I'll put it into perspective.

Let's say we have Fred and Jim. Jim tends to get town roles a lot of the time and Fred tends to get scum. So let's say it's down to the final three. We have Fred, Jim, and their friend Ricardo. Fred votes Jim, Jim votes Fred. Ricardo knows that Fred is usually scum, so he votes Fred. Guess what? Fred is town and Jim is scum. Jim wins and it's Ricardo's fault.

So, we have a new player who displayed 3 classic scum-tells. Why are they scum-tells? Because they're the way that mafia is acting untill they learn better. What does this tell us?

Eh. "Mafia" tells on day 1 usually indicate stupidity more than scumminess. Which is why I have yet to vote for the bandwagoners. You do raise some good points however and I think that we have a backup lynch in case no one else does anything scummy/stupid.

1) i had no one better to vote for at the time, and duday told me to vote randomly, so why not dustin? everyone else voted randomly

2) i was confused on who was voted on i just wanted to keep track
of who had votes on them and so others could know if they were unsure ether, the arrows were just for simplicities sake, not to suggest you vote for them or to draw attention to them

3) i was just thinking that jnd made sense, and there is no evidence against dustin or anyone else so i voted for duday

keep in mind i have read other mafia games before i joined this to get a feel on how they work. i am trying to stay active so people dont accuse me of submarining so i make posts on what comes to mind, what should i do
to post and be called scum for suspicious sounding comments, or not to post and people accuse me of submarining
im so confused

btw can i make another vote count post?
