Clans/Tribes?

I've read through both and can't tell the difference between a clan and a tribe. I know clans have been a long-standing feature since I joined more than 10 years ago?
Current tourneys -- USA 2.1 Poly Best of 5, 2024 NCAA basketball season, NCAA football playoffs, 2024 NFL season, Luxembourg Best of 5, The Floor, Punch Out Boxing, Mayor of Woodboro

clans are team games, tribes are 1 v1/poly games played within a team setting. Like team racing - each players wins count towards an overall score.

thank you for the clarification. I may try to set up a tribal tournament event in the near future.
