Pretty sure it’s Josko here unless it’s a population contest…
If so I would like my entry with this video as attachment added to the mix.

There will be 12 inductees plus one discretionary entry. I have already chosen the discretionary entry.

I hope it’s you…unless my video made a statement…
Anyways joking aside there are some solid players here that contribute to their clans and the site. Love this idea and hope this continues each year

That was the plan. I'll see how voting goes then do some kind of threshold. Maybe a max of 2 or 3 per year. Replace the 12 who get voted in this year, reeevaluate after season stats are in and create a new list of 60 players to parse down to 20. Don't want to water it down too much.

Another way to do the voting is, once you have your finalists, have each one be a separate Yes/No vote and require a certain % to get in.

I suppose, but I wonder if a yes/no vote becomes a how much is this person liked contest, rather than how great of a CL player was this person. This is a list of who has been great, but it is also a list of rather large personalities because it takes some of that to be consistently great IMO. For the record I voted yes for some people that I do not usually get along with, because by any objective measure they have been great in CL...I do not know to what degree other people would do that.

i hope that this is how we all vote! intangibles certainly can come into play but ultimately, your play should speak for itself. when i get cup rankings completed, this might change to overall clan h.o.f. and include those stats as well. the players may stay the same but i have a feeling there will be some who really step up in Cup but don't play much in League. we shall see.

to my eye, there are 6 or 7 who should be on every ballot, unquestionably. mc would be on that list. you could interchange a few beyond that. a couple probably made it this far because they're popular and well liked. one, i cannot explain but as jalen rose likes to say, give the people what they want.

On the other hand, quiet personalities can get unnoticed while being amazing player.
fairman is for example imho one of the greatest player I know, his statistics here on CL are indeed really good ( 1st ranked player on average which mean even when LHDD didn't do well he was still doing well ). But he is getting less vote than I am, while I actually have stats less good than he does.

I think having 3 seasons is what hurts fairman. Granted, you've only got 4 but that extra really good season boosts you quite a bit. Just my opinion.

I agree with everything you said (and I would definitely vote for fairman rather than for you as you can imagine)...but I think stats have to be considered up until a certain point.
Nut Shot has done an amazing work, but he didn't (and obviously couldn't as it would be a true nightmare) take into account if you've been playing an away or home game, or if it's a dubs, a trips or a quad.

Here the impact might be of a lesser extent as the gameload is relatively low, but I'm pretty sure there might be some even bigger surprises for the CC HoF. Look how many times you've volunteered on away games you didn't particularly enjoy nor play, but because there were blanks to fill. It's highly possible that it cost you several losses, impacting your global ranking.
And I don't know how other leaders plan their wars in the CL, but if an amazing player gets unnoticed, he is also more likely to play on a map he enjoys/is good at as his background may not be checked.

Lol i actually did all of those things. You score more for an away win, you lose points for home losses, you get a luck % that drags down dubs more than quads, etc. The data points are listed in the rankings thread. The two big things I could not factor in were:

A) if you "led" or followed
B) the different number of teammates ie if you always play with the same players or you play with your whole team - i actually tried this but it was a nightmare and would have taken me half my life to finish the matrix. I think I completed one season of LHDD and ICON and said "nope".

That’s the tough challenge… “who” lead; not always guy on top  .who is willing to take meh maps…who is willing and take on newbies to clan games…
That being said there a 4 obvious HOF guys here…but I think in future…have clan leaders and selected few vote and make it known IMO. Regardless this is close to who gets in…some might that shouldn’t and thats okay too

I pegged it as 7 no doubters here. The system will no doubt be refined from here out. I do like the idea of a voting committee of some kind but I also like the fact that everyone on the site can have their say. Maybe we put together a group who decides on the 60 eligible players, then the site votes in 20 finalists and the committee decides who gets in. I dunno. Let's get them a badge though!!

In my opinoin the no doubters are:
Josko.ri
Donelladan
Fyrdraca
JPlo64
mc05025
Goranz
rockfist

with fairman, osman76, rousseau72 right behind.

fairman is by far the most undervoted IMO.

My thought behind yes/no is that it's not about filling x spots, it's about getting above X% votes.
I think the current format is maybe more popularity b/c some ppl can just vote for the couple people they like as opposed to submitting a vote on each candidate.

I agree with Iceman, might be nice to have a selected panel (maybe CAT) to submit votes.
