Protest absolutely! Why will the CC organisers not get behind what is an excellent league, where all comers can compete against each other to move up or down it, irrespective of rank. Well done to Craig for his organisation and enthusiasm. It will be a sad day if this league doesn’t get the backing of CC in the form of basic help with organising this ongoing event! Paul T
If the one person who can make these changes truly has refused to reply - and it is their responsibility to reply - then this is deeply disrespectful. If and when a definitive answer is given, we take it from there.
I am loving this site, and especially this tournament. As a new member, this gives me the ability to play maps I haven't played, the format is fantastic and the tourney is very well run. Let's not make these tournaments so hard to run that they can't continue. Code it guys!
Craig25 is absolutely worth his weight in gold and his Superleague is already one of Scotland's greatest achievments when it comes to online GLOBAL risk! That, and his unique sense of humour, should get full support of CC.
The massive game scale also provides the need for a premium account so CC should see the value there to support the growth.
Because for players the Price is what you pay and Value is what you get. And the Super League is BIG value !
A League Format Tournament is a great addition to Conquer Club. So it would be good if the mods are helping by making some automatic functions that help the poor Scotsman to run it smoothly. It's a shitload of work done by Craig and helping him with some automatic invitations for games would be great.
In the past 10-12 years of my membership, the SBSL series is by far the best run and most fun tournament. For a volunteer to spend as much time as Craig25 is admirable and it's time that CC steps up to offer some assistance which will only attract new members
Protest!! Great Tournament....amazing amount of work is put into it. CC should want to help make it easier. This tournament is keeping me a member as I was getting tired...this has kept my interest.
Protest. This league is really fun and well done. Nothing close exists as it is, and it doesn't make sense from a business perspective not to support it in the small way that has been requested.
Great tournament and the amount of time spent on keeping it going continues to astound me. Any support would be welcome by organizers and players. Help the man out already for crying out loud...
Craig's tournament (SBSL) is so great that it has soured me on other tournaments... and I've participated in a lot of them. I've become so fond of the Super League that it is the main reason I log on everyday anymore. They are the first games I look for when I take my turns every day. If this tournament had to stop because of a lack of effort from the site owner (BigWham), I would be hard pressed to continue playing. I've been here since before Obama's first term...for 13+ years, but maybe 20 thousand games will be enough.
Craig has clearly laid out the features that are necessary to bring the burden of his tournament back under superhuman effort. I've been a software engineer for 30 years and have a concept of the scope of coding necessary for the kinds of things Craig points out (ingesting spreadsheet data to populate variables like opponents and maps, randomizing starts among a group of 4 games instead of just individual games, etc.). Not trivial, but not impossible. The type of tournaments it would make available would be a large enhancement to the site.
Without Craig's tournament, my current membership will be my last.
