Scoreboard

Hello CC! Here we go again, since we are going inline with real Olympics, the start of 2022 lightly overlap the end of the 2021 event (nearly completed). No change from last year in terms of maps, settings and tournament names, with the exception listed below.
2021 showed a blast from AW Tribes who finally got the win after an epic chase between AW, RISE & WTF Tribes…Let’s see what this edition will offer.

Changes from last year;

  • Opening Ceremony went from Japan to China map.
  • All entry Tribe base restriction Tournaments reverted to normal entry, meaning no more maximum amount per Tribe per Tournament.
  • "Learn The City" changed to "Murder at The City", meaning Terminator changed to Assassin. hope to reduce the length of the tournaments overall.
  • Some old Tribes base tournament with no elimination became bracket style instead.
  • "Not at All Chinese, added a Gold medal, all other speed tournament plays 3 games while this one plays 7.
  • Closing Ceremony went from China to France map.
  • Couple of shuffle with repetitive settings and game load that where commented to be not enjoyable.

As before, the event will have its Tribes scoreboard with generous prizes. You don't have to be part of tribe to participate.
Everything will be automated, there is no need to sign up.

IMPORTANT:

  • Time for tribe allocation to be set as 06:30, Feb 11 (so 1 week after the games start). Also you have to LOG IN before that time, and that is when it assigns your tribe membership. So it will assign you to the last tribe you are in when you log into the site before 06:30, Feb 11.
If you change Tribe after this date/time, your score will still count for the Tribe you were until the "lock".
  • In some tournament you may see an asterisk « * » by some settings, this mean all listed settings will be spread evenly through the set of game for a round.

Current active Tribes are 4 Primitives & 11 Advanced, if you want to create a new Tribe, check this thread that will tell you how to proceed.

How to Play

  • There are 31 auto-tournaments running on a schedule accessible from the scoreboard page.
  • You can join each tournament once.
  • Kind of medals reward is depending on the size and nature of the event.
  • There are a few major tournaments that you join to win Platinum Medals!
  • All tournaments are giving out a Participation Ribbons to each player.

Scoring System:

  • Image Platinum Medal: 7 points
  • Image Gold Medal: 5 points
  • Image Silver Medal: 3 points
  • Image Bronze Medal: 1 point
  • Image Participation Ribbon: 0.2 point

Will you be adding mandatory drug testing for doping? It's a big problem.

what are the odds on 2020 olympics finishing before 2022 start ?

if you run both at the same time Mad, is your compensation doubled?
I wish either my father or my mother, or indeed both of them as they were in duty both equally bound to it, had minded what they were about when....

If 2 player fog game, please allow 12 hour snap courtesy, or post what I could have seen.... Thank you

100% confirmed 2021 Olympics to have still 2 tournaments active at the time 2022 edition start…no biggies.

What compensation?

Nothing to do right now, tournament will come out automatically every day and accessible from Central Command banner starting February 4th. The actual banner showing is for 2021 edition which is about to end.

can you be a little more specific please to be sure of what you are referring to?

the tournaments will automatically be created.
as tournaments appear in the banner on Central Command, you can join a tournament and wait for it to begin.
there is no need for you to register in any way for the scoreboard tracking the Olympics.

is that helpful?

Joined a speed tournament
Waited 6 hours
Slept 8 hours
Waiting for another 5 hours
Still 5 spots open

I really don't understand why we have to deal with this every Olympic edition.

I dont remember it being that bad before, but with the change in participation rate counting / mattering, I now join very few / almost none of the speed ones and only join if I think I have a chance to win. Before playing for the tribe mattered and I could contribute. Now why should I bother if I have no chance? I used to have hundreds of games each olympics because I joined them all / participated in every event. Now theres maybe a handful that I can play and maybe even have a chance, and if I'm busy, I might even skip those because the crazy settings or whatever.

Lower the value of participation, it shouldn't come as a surprise people participate less

How's the scoring work for the rankings in the events with multiple player matches (I'm looking specifically at the Pearl Harbor one)? One player timed out in all 8 matches, and is still currently ranked 12th, and potentially moving on to the next round!? That doesn't seem right.

Tournament link would help, I can manually play around if needed.

EDIT: Found it and confirmed dead eating in all 8 games, player marked as Eliminated.

Well shoot, didn't even notice it said "Eliminated" not "Active" like everyone else. Thanks!

Still curious about the scoring tho. Is there scoring breakdown page somewhere that one of you CC veterans could point me to? Thanks

Yes there is an explanation about auto tournament scoring, with the brand new Tournament handbook my team has just completed you will found words and links about your scoring question, make sure you go to the auto tournament section.

Let me know if you struggle to found it.

I think that auto tournament has got stuck. Everyone has completed their games but as Oilhoots is showing as having 1 active it's not moved on to the next round

Just a thought, but have you considered slightly lowering the treshold for achievement medals since the platinums' value got lowered?
