Attacks and Fortifications

Postby sugi44 on Tue Jul 18, 2006 4:45 pm

I thought that it would be a good idea to start the default pulldown entry to be a blank entry. I sometimes plan a move and then forget to change the deployment, attack, or fortfication pulldown before I press the button. If all the pulldowns started with a blank, then i would just get an error message if I did something stupid like that.

Make sense?

But I went through all the effort to make it default to the country you probably intend to attack from.

It's beneficial to have it be the country you will probably attack from in freestyle games because you are often racing against other players or a clock counting down to when they might arrive.

In sequential I suppose it doesn't really matter, turns would just take longer.

Overall I like it the way it is even though theres the chance of making silly mistakes. You just have to be careful, though I'm sure we've all done that before.

Maybe this idea should be done only in fortification stage. Im prone to screwing up my fortifications.

When I attack, the default countries rarely even border each other.

I've lost lots of games through lots of different types of mistakes.

We are human, we make mistakes, thats how games can be won or lost.

Learn from them and dont make the same mistakes again

So the convenient feature for most people must be changed because you don't pay attention to what you are doing?

Its not the same thing by a long shot.
