The USA is NOT a democracy; that is true.aad0906 wrote:The USA isn't really a democracy.
The US was the first to really try a form of democracy, NOT one based on the powers of ONE Man (or Woman); i.e., the King or Queen of the nation, such as the U.K. After the failures of the weak Articles of Confederation, the Founding Fathers tried "version 2.0" with the current US Constitution as the basis for our laws and our national government, recognizing the roles of individual states.the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

HANOVER, Va. (WWBT/Gray News) – A school district in Virginia is apologizing for a logo that appeared on a T-shirt during a conference this week after community members said it resembled a swastika.
The shirt from Hanover County Public Schools (HCPS) made its rounds on social media.
According to superintendent Michael Gill, the design was first unveiled at a professional learning conference for faculty and staff and printed on shirts for them to wear.
Shortly after its unveiling, an image of the logo was posted on social media, where it went viral and was immediately and nearly universally panned.

Proposed transgender bathroom, locker room policy for Hanover schools revealed

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Hanover County School Board will consider a proposal that would require transgender students to make a formal request to use bathrooms and locker rooms that match their gender identities and give the board final authority to approve or deny them.
The proposed policy, which is set to be introduced on Aug. 9, comes after the school board voted last year not to adopt policies, as Virginia school divisions were required to under legislation passed by the state legislature, which would allow students to use bathrooms and school facilities aligning with their gender identity.
