It's hard to apply any calculation you may have found to our game because we don't know how many Town and how many Scum there are here. Also, calculations just don't usually hold up in Mafia, as it's more of a game of intuition, vibe, and trust. I've never seen a convincing argument to always or never lynch on day 1.

I do find it interesting that there are 23 inmates and 24 in the game. Some sort of special "warden" or "God" role maybe? Could it be third-party? Any thoughts?

There are certainly third-party, some has special win objectives that's stated in the post.

I was asking to be guided. I'm new to this game. I saw a bold sentence. GO FORTH AND KILL THE SCUM. I didn't know that meant mafia at that time. I admit, it does looks suspicious. But I assure you, I'm not a mafia member. I wouldn't be that stupid if I was. But I am definitely scum. I got 15 years for arson. If I'm not considered scum, I don't know who is. Just so you know, I'm innocent of those charges. I was in Portland at the time, torching police cars. Oops

"Scum" and "Mafia" are interchangeable terms for the faction that is opposed to "Town". There may also be Cults, or 3rd party players as well.

Saying "But I am definitely scum." could just be a mistake by an inexperienced player, or it could be a Freudian slip, or it could be an attempt to deflect from an earlier mistake. In any case, it doesn't look good.

The first day is generally chaos. There is little or no concrete evidence to go by, so people tend to pick apart every statement to look for a reason to vote for one person over another.
