I don't even remember how the site recorded the number of active users, but the forum style is a great blast from the past and brings back nostalgic memories from when I was in high school. Its always fun to check on this site once every couple of years to see if its still part of the old internet

The youtube algorithm made me think of risk again, so I figured I'd log in and see what was happening, I haven't played a game and only have only written a few posts since 2016 haha. CC was a big part of my online life in high school/ college... but a most of the gaming stuff happens on discord now. Who knows, I might feel like striking it up again.

Okay, so it seems that waiting Battle Royale counts... though as Freemium, I'm not qualified to join it anyway... I guess I'll drop that.

But why should games I've been eliminated from still count? That is just completely obtuse.

Might be a valid criticism, but it's the way it's always been. Nobody who's still here today had any part of making that decision, so go ahead and yell into the forest.

As a general rule, freemiums have never been able to play speed games.

There are a couple exceptions:
1. You can go to the Store and buy speed packs which allow you to play speed games while freemie.

and

2. During special events, there are certain speed tournaments labelled as "Freemium exemption" tournaments, which allow freemies to play. The Easter event next week will very likely include a bunch. You still need a free game slot to join these tournaments, however, so make sure you free one up by then.

We are always here

and while the numbers are well down on the past, we are still in a much better position than some of the other online risk type games.

There are more than 3 community tournaments running. Unless you just mean in sign ups As I am currently running 5, 3 of which are in the finals

But you are right there are less being run than there used to be, As I remember when there was almost constantly 30 in signups at a time. As one of the more active tournament players I would love to check out more tournaments run by different people

We should of course post when we go up (as we do) as well as down .. ESPECIALLY when it includes yours and my favourite number 3,869 !
The numbers are still very poor though even after the usual swell that St.Patrick´s day and Easter brings on here with it's frivolity and "new" players ... Once again the Northern hemisphere spring/summer is rolling around and we know that knocks the user base as they are all out galavanting topless and jorty in the sun...the girls too.. rather than hunched over a laptop in a dark sweaty room pornhubbing and conquering.

My main reason and I guess excuse for posting this time really though is to pay tribute to cheffed ... and I'm guessing but not sure someone has taken a hit points wise on the scoreboard to allow him sit atop the masses,I tip my hat in whichever direction you are if that is indeed the case.
