You can drive up to Santa Monica and drink at the Regal Beagle.

- Old Town Market -- it's an open air market from the Spanish colonial period.

> Things and places to avoid?

- The entire state of California north of San Juan Capistrano and south of Eureka.

Whoa, 2014? Time sure flies.

Yeah, that advice comes from a guy living in the Bill and Milinda region. Too far north to go on a whim and get an ice cream cone from Dick's. Though in his defense, that city sounds pretty gnarly in the last year or two.

I wouldn't mind bumming around from the Morman Bar to Georgetown.

Why wouldn't a guy want to go take a look at General Sherman?

Plus he should write up some of his specific greivences toward the Napa Vally.

I have never been to San Diego, but hear it's a target rich environment for us taco hunters. You're a little early to go watch Americas sport a Cricket like game, that only lasts a few hours.

The zoo is certainly legendary.

I haven't been in California since 1983, so any opinions I have are probably very outdated.

I’ve never been to California.
I’ll be in Little Rock next week, if that matters.

When I lived in LA I took the LA Metro one weekend downtown which was the cleanest, most beautiful subway I've ever been on, but was 90% empty. I told my boss - who claimed he hadn't left Los Angeles County in the preceding eight years as he didn't feel there was anything worthwhile in the outside world - and he said "LA has a subway?"

He's retired.

I'd spend more time here if I could afford to retire.

I've got an amazing taco story. I'll tell it if three people ask.
