In my opinion, if you move Politics out of this Forum, it will likely die, a slow death (and perhaps a bit faster than CC will die out) with a whimper, and not a bang (Big or otherwise).

Politics is what many get passionate about, and there are few other such topics that inspire such passions. Religion already has its own Forum, more or less. I tried to get a discussion on key battles (and History) and that did not get much attention (which, for a war and battle site, surprises me). Cooking (and eating) has sparked a bit, but not much interest.

What is left, if Politics is out?

Gee, idk, movies, video games, board games, celebrity mishaps, drunk news, goofy life advice not to be taken serious. SPORTS?! There's a very BROAD spectrum of what people can talk about that isn't political. Use your imagination.

And no, it's not that i have a problem with either party(well, i do but that's besides the point), it's just seeing the same old fucking regurgitated shit about Trump, or Biden, or Harris, or "GaYS kiSSinG?! DA LEFT!" "DA RIGHT STOLE MAH NUT SACK!"

Seriously. It's the same 3 to 4 people who engage in this. Can't you dorks do what Hitred did? He at least keeps it in one thread, out of sight, out of mind.

For example, you seem to be blithely unconcerned with censorship and care little for free-speech, ...but that is actually among the most pernicious of political stances.

Three key points here:

1) I think DDS does give Vot an answer to the one Religion Forum thread (Street Corner), separated OUT of THIS Forum.

2) Most other topics do not elicit much response or discussion, thus much of the discussion, good and not, will disappear here. That is true for nearly ALL that DDS suggests as topics for discussion. I did a sports thread and got LITTLE response, including the Paris Olympics in August. (It did get to page 4, so NOT bad.) I started other similar threads and have had little response there, too.

3) Politics has recently been banned from Global Chat. We do not need to Ban it in this Forum, too. One can pick and choose which thread to read.
