Mark Zuckerberg has returned from Mar-a-Lago where he has taken a pledge of loyalty to President Trump. This is a 180 degree shift from 2020 when he banned Trump from Facebook and Instagram and donated $25 million to help Democrat Get Out the Vote efforts.
Zuckerberg also announced a sweeping series of changes:
- All DEI staff at Meta are fired
- Meta public affairs head (and ex UK deputy PM) Nick Clegg is fired and replaced with former Trump advisor Joel Kaplan
- Meta will no longer prioritize minority-owned businesses when hiring vendors
- Meta is removing Trans and Nonbinary color themes from Facebook Messenger
- Meta is removing tampons from men's restrooms
- Meta is loosening its Hateful Conduct policy on Facebook to allow discussion of Transgenderism as a form mental illness
- UFC CEO Dana White is added to the Meta board of directors
- Meta will actively pursue "masculine energy" in its corporate culture
