We heard story after story from MSNBC last year about how Trump was teetering on the verge of bankruptcy due to his legal bills hiring attorneys to defend himself against taxpayer-funded prosecutors. Since we fundamentally reject the premise of the prosecutions and note no indictments came down until after he announced he was running for president, we have no issue with him recouping his losses.
Running for president was a high-risk investment against possible future gains. The investment paid off for him. No problem here.
