We all do the yo-yo, somewhat. I've found that game selection has a lot to do with it. When I'm playing lots of 1v1, I tend to drift downwards, even if I'm winning.

2036 as of today; I am Graduate a while back.

This is my current and not my highest ever Rank. My profile shows a high 2261, but I am sure I have been even higher in rank a long while ago.
