Did they change the randomiser?

Post by Uncle Death »

Worst luck ever today attacking, to the point I suspect they changed something. Or is it just me?

I believe random.org (where the random dice numbers come from) is based on atmospheric fluctuations over England (?) or somewhere, so perhaps they're having a streak of bad weather? Feel free to check with random.org.

It's been very sunny today, well where I live anyway, quite a change since it's been raining these past two weeks :-)

Its just you.
There are millions of rolls on here each day. some people have good luck, others have bad luck. it changes. its ok. nothings wrong with the site.

this thread makes me wish two things
1) I could lock threads
2) Complaints about the dice had their own forum

i quote: "The randomness comes from atmospheric noise"

random dot org will not give bad luck on a sunny day, or a rainy day or a snowy day.

there are many people who role dice here. you would EXPECT (though or course not predict) that 5% of people will ALWAYS get bad dice.

It would consume too much bandwidth.

Thank you. I was just reporting my observation and was looking for an answer. I had not found a better place to do it and so I threw up a new topic.

For those who live on message boards I realize you may get tired of reading some reports that are repetitive, which begs the question, why do you?

I'm enjoying the hell out of Conquer Club but don't worry, that won't extend to using your forums much. Thanks again to wcaclimbing for his answer and taking the time to do it. The rest of you can go scratch and keep your little club to yourselves and your moderators.

horrible luck

Post by 1afay3tt3 »

i had 12 armies against 2 armies. i auto-attacked, and lost 10 armies. how could someone possible get all 6's, 5's, & 4's, while i only got 2 5's, 1 4, & the rest worthless numbers. i have noticed that when i auto-attack, the defender many times gets multiple 6's and 5's. could auto-attack be broken? or is this some computer conspiracy against me. i stayed up late just to win and lost. & whenever i'm eliminating other plyrs, their 1 army stands up against impossible odds & crushes me. this is so annoying.
