seeking junior partner

Postby Hatchman on Thu Jul 12, 2007 7:21 am

Anyone below, say, 1400 points who would like to team up with me (currently just below 2000) on a regular basis for 4-player doubles please PM.

Previous experience an asset but not a necessity. 8)

Warning: I tend to order junior partners around (which got me into trouble recently, as I failed to appreciate that games played is just as important as rank sometimes. Apologies Birdy). But I am a nice guy most of the time :D

I wouldn't mind picking up a few tricks of the trade as long as the time difference isn't a problem.

I have just over 1400 now, but I think that might drop, the highest score I ever attained is 1572 so I definitely need help.

I don't understand why you want a junior partner Hatchman. Does it not just make you more likely to lose? Are you just doing this to help someone less experienced that yourself?

It has many potential benefits. Playing with a "junior partner" against higher ranks can yield decent points as long as there is cohesion on our team. My friend comic boy and I advanced very nicely this way when I was the understudy. I learned a lot and improved my own play as well.

So let me get this straight, you want to partner with someone that has less than 1400 points so you can win more points off of good players, if you get lucky enough to win?
Welcome to my ignore list :)

Not new concept to me, and I'm 100% certain that I was not on your ignore list, considering we've never played / spoken in the past.

I just think that people should openly go and own noobs for points.
We're here to play, play some good people, not openly go looking for points, by playing noobs and taking their number every game..
It kinda loses enjoyment after a while :)
