Which smash are you talking about? N64 or Melee? In N64 Ness and Kirby were one of the best characters in the game (Pikachu being the best believe it or not, Kirby second best). In Melee, Kirby is one of the worst characters in the game, Ness is good but hard to master. Pikachu isn't so good, either... Now Fox is the best character.


ACtually Pikachu and Kirby are ok, and NEss is TERRIBLE!


Actually, Kirby is like the 3rd worst character, second worst being Pichu and worst being Mewtwo. Ness is considered 5th worst, but not because he sucks, because he's hard to control.

Pikachu is a little higher than Ness, Roy is a little higher than Pikachu, Link higher than Roy, Jiggs above Link, Fox above ALL!

What list are you going on? If you don't know how to use Ness he blows.

I argee with your brother, if you know who to play a character goodly, they'll all be around the same rank. ;)

Pichu doesn't suck? LISTEN TO YOURSELF, MAN! O.O Horrible defense, horrible shield, horrible range, and takes damage from every electrical attack he USES!!! Even on his TROPHY it says he sucks!!!

The list I am going by is the tier list of the professional smash community. This list tells how characters rank competitively, using various advanced techniques.

The character divide isn't as great as many fighters, but it still exists. The tier list determines the overall rank. It is possible for a lower tier to beat a higher tier, but only if the player is more skilled. If a competitive Fox goes up against an equally skilled Mewtwo, Fox is going to win. In a game where the characters are different, each with their own movesets and characteristics, there will be a tier list. Its inevitable that in any fighting game, certain characters are going to stink.

Soma characters have an advantage over others. Pika can beat Jiggs 1 on 1, but Jiggs can beat more characters than Pika.
