Actually no. that's a lie. I waste my money on weekend teenage escapades. And preparing for a college education. But I do plan on stealing one.

the ps2 doesn't have the best graphics, and isn't the fastest, but one must admit the ps2 controller is the best. it fits in anyone's hands perfectly, and my hands are never sore at all after extended ps2 sessions.

I'm a big fan of the gamecube simply because I love to play MarioKart with the family and friends. Don't play many console games actually.

I've already done a thread almost exactly like this. The WII one followed by PS3 then PS2 then Xbox(Even though many agreed Xbox was better after they voted)

Speaking of ratings, I just bought a game (cost me 1.99€, dirt cheap) and this PEGI age-rating-system says it's 16+ and depicts violence. The national age-rating-system however set it as suitable for children the age of 12 or older.

So: Never trust the rating systems!

Why, because video game developers besides nintendo are retarded.. They don't realize that most people couldn't give a f*ck about excellent graphics and put all their money and dev into that. While nintendo put all their money and dev into making something different that is fun and fills you with a wow that is too good to be true feeling. Guitar hero is where playstation got it right, and made something totally different and way fun, and the fact that it is rolling in money and people were lined up at target 2 days ago when the encore 80's version was supposed to come out even though it was delayed a week speaks volumes. People don't want to do the same thing with better graphics. They want change, and for it to actually be fun.

In fairness the Wii was a pretty big risk. Being new or innovative isn't something most companies are interested in, too much risk for too little chance of return. Plus once you develop something chances are it will be mimicked by your competitors anyway (analogue stick, rumble pack, motion sensing... etc.) I think it's good Nintendo have regained market share because they seem to be the only one pushing boundaries.

You'd be surprised at how many people would buy a game for the sole purpose of graphics and violence. Of course, PS3 is really pushing it.

So far, 3 up and coming Wii games are on my wish list:

- Metroid Prime 3
- Super Mario Galaxy
- Super Smash Bros Brawl

ive always had nintendo as a kid and nobody can really beat the classics. like super mario for super nintendo and the other old systems. therefore i voted wii

The Wii won't last long. It's victory is short lived. Soon people will tire.
The PS3 has so much going for it ATM: Haze, MGS4, Ratchet and Clank 4, plus many others. The Wii has no proper good games at all. Even the 360 is quiet on the games front. This is where the PS3 will win, the sustainability.

Also: when the PS3 drops in price, what will people buy?

The Wii at he same price? Or the PS3 which will be considered a bargain?
