It's called the Spartans, you need to have 1200 points to join, and contact CBlake if interested. There, I told you something about the clan.

Note: I'm not currently in nor am I planning to join this "clan".

I wouldn't join a clan with a name based on a movie - a name the founder would never have used or known much about if he hadn't seen the movie.

For the record, the Spartans sucked as hell at warfare. It was the Athenians who won the Greek-Persian war, because they knew how to fight. The Athenians, who are bashed in that ridiculous movie that teenage American boys seem to like so much.

The Athenians beat the Persians at sea, while the Spartans wanted to run away and hide their ships. Naval tactics was too complicated for them. The Spartans were dumb oxen whose only tactic was to charge straight ahead. That worked as long as they had the numbers, otherwise not. That's how they enslaved smaller peoples, until the time when they ran into some people who actually knew how to fight, the Thebans at 371 B.C., at which point they were sidelined, smashed to a pulp, and vanished from history.

That's why there are still Athenians, but no Spartans.

One more thing: the part in the movie where Leonidas taunts the Athenians as "boy-lovers"? In fact, it was the Spartans who were the systematic homophiliacs.

Now, if you'd make a clan called Athens, that would be really impressive. It would show that you had looked farther than a history-distorting movie from Warner Bros. Pictures, and studied real history. Mad props if you'd do that.
