I think Canada is better then US in several aspects: education system, health care system (which is free), government system. It's true they don't have a best economy in the world but there are several factors to consider: natural resources and it's COLD.
Aren't there still people who want to restore the monarchy in Russia as well? It's also COLD here in Wyoming.

Good. I was concerned about what evilpurplemonkey and 2dimes were saying, so I was checking to make sure that you people still know your places.

Question to you Brits, do you view the US as "the one that got away"?

Do the Canadians still have the Queen on any of their money?

Canadian coins still have the Queen on them.

And the 20 dollar bill.

Lucky, because we are not under a monarchy or lucky for another reason?

The five has a cool picture of Wilfred Larrier which when defaced properly looks like 'spock' off star trek. I should have kept that bill. :P

Major difference is that French is spoken in Canada. Spanish is spoken in the U.S.

In my homeland, calling someone French is a complement... calling them Cajun is the insult.

I live in Louisiana, and married into a Cajun family. "Cajun" down here carries no negative connotations, but don't use the term "Coonass" instead of Cajun if you're a stranger. Where is your homeland?

Arklatex, where the Cajun are still an oppressed minority.

Where (or whatthehell) is "Arklatex"? Is it a place in Canada? I thought at first you meant Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas, but they're not any more oppressed here (i don't think they have them in Arkansas) than the Northern Europeans. I figure you must be talking about the English vs French thing up in Canada.

Jeez, get with your cheesy super-specific region names.

So that is what you meant, but how can you say they're an oppressed minority down here? My wife's people are from Houma, which is about as cajun as it gets, and they're a majority. I've lived here over 35 years, and i've never seen cajuns oppressed any more than other poor whites.
