Don't listen to him, he's just trying to mislead you.

The thing you should do to ensure that everybody respects you and takes you seriously as a player is join Spamalot. All the best players and posters are members. of Spamalot.

First things first, welcome! Try not to join flame wars early on because there is this "guardian" called bk barunt and he always tries to stop people from posting there. If you want to be part of a friendly group, I suggest you join Spamalot or the Pikachu Clan.

Just stay out of the flaming forum, unless you're really good at flaming. Or if you just choose to be like me, and post worthless things so that people don't waste their time flaming you because you're a bad flamer.
