First I thought that 2 runnerups from each division are qualifying. Then there would be 12 players, and it would be possible to make semifinals... (with top 3 from each of 2 divisions qualifying)

Also can be an idea

It's the most interesting tourney, and it would be great if it lasts a bit longer

Ok,
First off, no way to incorporate 8 players, unless you take away from how the game was set up to work (6 player games)
Secondly, Katya has a very good solution, but I don't believe that this tournament will deal with semi- finals, since it was not discussed at the beginning of the tournament.
Iron Man Series 4- maybe

Thirdly, I am checking into the games right now to see which map none of the 3 players have won.
When I have finished that, I'll randomly pick one, and that is the one they will play on

Same settings, same everything.
Finals start when we find our 6th place.
