number of countries held [To-do]

Post by killthejoe »

It would be great if there was a small list, or simply a number that appeared beside each player's name to tell how many countries each person owns at a given time.

Just for simplicity's sake!

Thanks much!

Which doesn't work unless you turn off ajax, and turning off ajax may only be a temporary solution as lack appears to be heading toward ajax for future site enhancements.

I'd love to see some of the more basic features of the scripts built into the site... country counts, XML parsing to show attack paths (some maps are not exactly clear on what shares borders with what all the time), continent bonuses...

I reckon the script genius's will have that problem sorted in the long term. (thanks very much in advance)
so short-term get Greasemonkey (BOB) and disable Ajax in 'My settings'

Greasemonkey is a marvelous addition and the site would be diminished without it....
is there a reason that lack has not fully integrated the option into the site?
I am on unfamiliar ground but is it an intellectual property issue? would he have to pay a fee to Troy or Robert where now he does not as it is a volunteered add-on?

thanks lack  i was not being a smart-arse there ... in fact the exact opposite. (.. a dumb-head?)

is there a reason that you haven't integrated the whole Greasemonkey script so you do not get conflict when you improve your site? (Ajax for example)

I just prioritized other stuff. But if the GM script doesn't get fixed soon, that will boost the priority of pulling GM features into the CC core.

I think the problem with the Greasemonkey script is going to be how to get it to refresh when the ajax triggers. Currently, I'm not seeing a way around it, but I'm going to keep looking.

If it's not too much to ask, please show or display also the number of armies.

Note: I prefer to play this game as it is in its original form.
