the only way to gain points back is to win games correct? I was doing well my first few games and now, well I end up being the last of two then getting creamed.

There's no way to get points without winning, just like there's no way to get goals without scoring them.
If you are specifically good at one type of game, say, 1v1 Escalating, try playing a good number of those games against opponents with similar or higher scores than yourself. If you beat somebody with the same score as you it earns you 25 points, more if they are better and less if you are stronger.

You can get points without winning in Terminator.

Isn't it 20 for exact same scores?
