I really like this game. It's a shooter/swordfighting game that is free to play. The game is still in it's BETA stage, but is open for play, and should be released soon.

At first, you choose your characters guns/blade. They are classified by player types. I don't know why they don't let you just choose a sword and gun individually but that is how it is right now. Gun choices include a normal pistol, or machine gun (you can hold dual). Blades to start with are rusty-looking daggers and swords. As you kill people you gain money to "buy"(not real money) new weapons and powerups. I haven't gotten far enough to tell you what you can get though.

Description sounds fun, but runescape also sounded cool and that was the worst waste of time I've ever had.

This isn't Runescape lemme tell you that. It's a 3rd person shooter-like game. But it does involve leveling up.

Or try Shadowbane, a commercially developed game that's now completely free to download and play. There isn't even an item shop where you have to use real money like most other "free" MMORPGs have.
It has a quite complex guild system so even if you manage to level out your character completely (which I don't think is even possible) you can still have fun with wars and politicking, 99% of all cities in the game are managed and inhabited by players, there are a few NPC cities as well where you start with new characters so you can get the hang of the game in a safe environment and not be PKd all the time until you're strong enough to defend yourself.

I mean that when I heard the description for Runescape, it sounded awesome, but the actual game sucked. So I'm a bit skeptical.

if I did download it and install it, would it take up the full screen or could I still multitask? and is it a single player game or an MMO :lol:

i play GunZ too guys, it's pretty fun. not like a real shooter at all, more like a cheesy action movie like Shoot 'Em Up. you do impossible dives, somersaults, run up walls, and there's different weapons like katanas, twin SMGs, assault rifles, bazookas, and shotguns.
there are hacking problems and also people who butterfly (or jump around so much it's annoying as fucking hell). it's the equivalent of team flashing in CS. this game is mostly deathmatch-based.
it's really fast paced so you'll see action as soon as you get in a game.

1. Click International Edition (or other edition if you want that instead)
2. Click Account on the left side
3. Make an account
4. You can now download

And runescape rocks, the graphics arent good, but the game is overall ok.

I found a song on the internet that was piano adaptations of popular videogame songs. For some reason, this song was related to this game, so i checked it out. I am actually exceedingly good, and can at least finish almost all of the levels.
