this should make a good map. it would be quite small and it is very amusing

when i first saw i thought.....it would make a great map
i just need someone to develop it and if we can deal with the copyright issues etc.

You could probably mail him to ask, since CC is technically a for profit organisation.

I don't think the big problem will be using the map (if the author gives permission). It will be using the names of every company on the map. CC will never get to use AOL, MySpace, MSN, WoW.....

But you could change them slightly. YourSpace, for example.

widow is right, you will NEVER get a hold of those companys.

widow is also right, you could change the names to like: COL, Cyspace, CSN, CoC( my idea thought is to make it all with a C for Conquer Club)

Some things:

WoW is not the real term for the game so it's open.
Wikipedia is not a privately owned company (I think) so that's also open.
Just make stuff up: call it videoweb or something of the like.

This map could never happen. It's okay to mention names of corporations or their products via satire, but turning this into a working CC map presents a challenge as lack could be perceived to be making money off of it.

Blizzard smashes this stuff frequently. They didn't like our WoW map much anyway. :lol:
