What happened with Giddian in the new season?

You saw the season finale right?

Well Giddian is in some stupid house or something because he thinks he cant function as well when he is thinking about his personal life so he might retire.

I think. I didn't see episode 2 of this season yet.

No, I only saw the season premier and Giddian was gone, so I was like WTF?

Oh, and the second episode airs tonight.

remember Frank that Guy with no emotions but he loves that girl.(doesnt make much sense) well he comes back and tries to murder Giddian but ends up killing Giddians girlfriend or friend. Giddian gets really mad and starts to hunt after Frank... Frank had taken giddian's journal like thing keeping entries on all the people he has saved. So Frank was killing all of them in the area unless they gave him that girl(i forget her name) bacl to him. cause Frank thinks the FBI took her but she ran away. ANyway, eventually Frank and the girl jump in front of a train together.

and then he thinks that he's going out of it, because of the events in the season premier, and the fact that two extra people died, that didn't have to...
