They are just wannabe punks. They're nothing compared to the real punks, i.e. Pistols, Clash, Ramones etc etc.

some green day songs r actually similar to some clash songs but the clash r better then greenday

This isn't an argument to say if Green Day sucks or not. It's music, and everybody has different tastes. They're not necessarily "wannabe" punks, it's just a different style of music. There's punk, and there's pop-punk. Green Day is pop-punk. If they were trying to be punk, it's not that hard to achieve.

but there first albums ok but still isn't that good
making a album specificly targeted at a single person group wat ever and when its just to trash a temperary thing like the presendent then the song sucks

Well, what I meant was like nobody can say that they actually suck, I mean people can like them or hate them, but there's no way to say that they themselves suck because everyone has a different opinion. Everyone is different and I don't see why people can't respect each other for their differences. Yeah, I think they've sold out too, but I don't hate them or anything.
