Jnd is right, the mod clampdown and the deletion was a bit of a deathknell for our activities. That and a bunch of our hardcore posters scaled down their posting habits.
It's a shame though, I do miss the golden age of spam... it was more fun than the clubhouse now

too true. I remember when a newb would make a thread, and we would go on hunting trips, and group assault their threads. Or when you could go into any thread and scream SPAM! SPAM! SPAM!, and you would run back to spamalot laughing your ass off. Now....now you get shunned byt the communtiy, and get a pm from each mod, saying that you cant troll and derail threads.
It won't be quite the same though. I did really enjoy the whole chimp-troop attacks on crap threads... reminded me of those groups of monkeys that jump on safari cars and pull off random stuff while banging on the roof.
All good harmless fun it was...

We could do it again.
I mean what will the mods do? Ban us? haha

Im sure we could let in a newb each week, and let them run freely, making threads. Then after we fully demolish each, we ban them.
Dancing Mustard wrote:Do you remember the good old days when we used to be allowed to thread-jack with impunity? Weren't those days good?
I miss the times when we used to be able to lock-on to stupid new threads and bury them under a deluge of random-asides and off-topic rambling. When we used to turn stupid threads into our own personal playgrounds, regardless of the howls of the OP or the merit of the thread. The Clubhouse just isn't as much fun now that kind of behaviour is grounds for a banning.
Does anybody else miss those golden days in the Spring of '07?
yeah now that job has been taken by fircoal and mrman... all by themselves...

Yeah. I miss spamming those sad anti-spamalot clans. That was so fun
