First concert: Nickelback, London, 2004 I think (I was 13)
First Album: The Eagles Hell Freezes Over
Map: The Siege - You know that line in "What Is and What Should Never Be"? "It's to a castle I will take you, where what's to be they say will be." It's that castle.
Cards: Standard. Led Zeppelin had some luck, but a lot of skills. Escalating makes this too much a game of chance.
Fortifications: Adjacent. LZ kept a pretty tight crew that they worked with over the years -- not a lot of personnel changes even outside the band itself.
Fog: Definitely yes, in honor of the Misty Mountains.
Genre: Rock. Duh.
Account type: Premium
First concert: Well, my parents took me to a bunch of stuff when I was little, like Sammy Davis Jr. and Neil Diamond. The first rock concert I went to was Rush. Awesome. Saw them three more times after that.
Best concert: Prince. Don't laugh. If you don't get it, that's your problem.
First album: Again, I inherited some stuff from my parents that I actually liked at the time, but the first thing I bought with my own money was I think Jimi Hendrix Experience Smash Hits.
Awesome Great to hear al the stories, all in to this point.
Looks like it's a rock/metal heavy group we have here. Anyone from the electronic side? Or some country, or pop?
It's also great to see some bands I've never heard of. I'm gonna make an effort to get songs from each of them if you think they're great, I think you all should too Spread the music!
Crossword map (Folk = mostly words/spoken), escalating cards (like the speed of the truck in '30,000 lbs of bananas'), adjacent (since many are stories about a person-to-person direct situation), no fog (as he makes simple truths clear)

That's a good way to get away with playing your favourite settings.
Put me down for Cat Stevens. It looks like you have more than enough rock/metal, so I went with one of my favourite folk artists. And you could always call him pop if folk collapses. He'll play on the Middle East, birthplace of Islam and also a region where he does a lot of charity work, with escalating cards (cause it's a wild world) and unlimited fortifications (he moves around a lot). Finally, no fog and sequential, cause he says what he sees, and plays with structure, none of that freestyling nonsense.
I know there were others before it, but none that come to mind, and I have very vivid memories of seeing Dillinger Escape Plan with the Locust 5 years ago. Wow.
First album.... Savage Garden. I think I kept that for about 6 months before I gave it to my sister, who was enjoying it a lot more than I was. The first album I bought myself was NOFX's Punk In Drublic. Still one of my favourites.
Isn't this like the 3rd or 4th battle of the bands tournament in the last half year? Anyways, i'd still like to join:

First concert that mattered would be Mass Hysteria, one of the few good french metal bands in the early 2000's, jumping around in what felt like a stoner aquarium First album: uhh... Either Daft Punk - Homework or Metallica's black album.

Looks like we're mostly rock and metal. with some reggae and some folk. I will still go with the 8x5 setup, and I will group bands according to what I think are most similar. we'll have a discussion on them and you're welcome to ask to make changes pre-tournament.

I find it interesting that there are no straight up electronic bands. I shall break this trend.
My band be Justice
France/Escalating/Unlimited/No fog.
-France because both DJ's are French
-Escalating, because that's kinda how their music is....I suppose
-Unlimited, because they can go on for ages.
-No fog because their songs are straight foward
