Would this be acceptable?

Player Name: Tieryn
World Leader's Title: Tieryn Glaarrrrk
Country: The moon
Map: Solar System
Cards/Forts: Flat/Unlim
Premium or not: Yes, I'm premium or not... but more specifically, yes, I'm premium.

(Tieryn is actually a title, I got it from the deverry series of books by katherine kerr, fantasy, but based in reality... derived from celtic)

"The Deverrian political system is feudal. At the top of the hierarchy is the High King, who has his court in the Holy City, Dun Deverry. The highest rank of nobility below the royal family is that of gwerbret. A gwerbret swears fealty directly to the High King, and has jurisdiction over a large region, called a gwerbretrhyn (from rhan, roughly meaning "demesne"). A gwerbret does not generally exert direct authority over the entire gwerbretrhyn; part of the rhan is divided among a number of vassals of intermediate rank, called tieryns. A Tieryn, in turn, has as vassals all the lowest-ranking nobles, simply called "lords" (Deverrian arcloedd), within his tierynrhyn. The lords have direct fealty from the common-born. The lowest rung on the social ladder are the bondsfolk (serfs)."

So there is... and I don't think you can...

But having just checked the list, if you count all maps that have "some" real world in them, there's only 47... and with 48 players that's going to suck :P

I'll change my map to space if need be, or gozar, could you give us a list of the "real world" maps that haven't yet been taken, so we know what to look at when thinking up ideas?

Cheers

You can use the same map as many times as you would like, you just can't share the same country.

So since the other player chose "The Holy See" as their country on the Solar System map, it is fine to chose the moon.

In theory, every player could pick Classic, Solar System, World 2.1 or Extreme Global Warming, as they show the whole world.

japser_be is now in as Atilla the Hun of Belgium, playing on the BeNeLux map.

Plenty of room if you want to join. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Lots going on in the Canadian embassy in Iran right about now, so I went for a topical leader.

Sign-ups are moving slowly, I am guessing either because of the Assassin setting, or the time of year. (or me winning my last tournament)

Either way, I am probably going to drop the player count back down to 36 tomorrow. So on "Day 1" it will be 6 groups of 6, and they will play a 6 player and then a 5 player game, before being redistributed in "Day 2".

Of course if ten or twelve folks sign up before tomorrow, I will leave it as is.

My tournament of 64 has taken a while to fill up, but it's almost there. I think it's because of the large volume of tournaments at the moment. Most of them aren't filling very fast, but they will. I think I'm going to send a few PMs soon. I say that you should leave it at 48 for now. If anything, you can tell the people starting with 37 that they may just be reserves if sign-ups stay slow.
