this topic has been up for about a week or so. it has had many views. roughly 1,000... a few members have voiced their opinions on the topic.
14 Blue Name regular Conquer Club members responded on the topic. ( this count of 14 members is excluding the Green , Purple & Yellow named members who are basically employees of Conquer Club... )
of the regular Blue Named members who responded.. 4 out of 14 voiced their opinion that they considered the terminology Hillbilly to be either Racist, Offensive or Derogatory ( this is including myself ) 29% of members.. if you do not count the 1 member who did not voice a opinion either way . then the ratio is 4/13 -> 40%....
since 40% of respondents who voiced their opinion consider a word offensive. then personally I would say that is a legitimate # of respondents to prompt the word to be included in the banned list.
{ but I will guestimate as soon as I hit submit . there will all of a sudden be a flood of members jumping into the conversation.. most likely friends of the people who want to keep the word usable.... }

Your math is wrong. 4/13 is 30%. Not 40.

We agree on the number 4, 4 people find it offensive
But it will be looked at as 4 out of over 5000 active users, not just those who posted in the thread. Not even close to 1% of all active users have thought it bad enough to comment or complain. That is what i have to take to admin, it is not helping.
if you want to use those stats.. only 9 of 5,000 active members said it wasn't offensive.. still less then 1%..
if you are wanting to calculate things based on total active users.. then you would have to ask 5,000 users their opinion..

no one who represents CC has an answer for that... if you do. then answer it.. it doesn't have to be hillbilly.. just let me know what they are..
