Wasn't too much I could do against 10-set on the first 3 cards, 8-set, 10-set. He got them early and often. GG rebelman and good luck.
It was a good game thanks for that, i had nice cards but that alone does not win a game
Story so far:
Rebel army led by a cadet bravely enters with the big boys in the prestigious Point Grabbers Tournament alongside some of the legends of the game including 3 former point grabbers winners.
Thankfully there were only 16 players if there were more this poor cadet would have been seeded lower.
In the round of 16 this cadet is drawn against competition specialist and one of the pre tournament favorites Reptile - many have speculated where this creature has come from or what it is all we know for certain is few come out smiling when they meet this creature in tournament play.
With the benefit of home field advantage despite not having the first move the people of Ireland rise up in joy to celebrate one of their own in a david v goliath performance protecting the green fields of Ireland from the invading hoards led by this creature known as reptile. What reward you asked was bestowed on rebelman for this great act he is offered maidens, land and gold but he refuses all bar 50 of reptiles points which are said to be the source of his power.
Word of rebelmans great deeds reached the kingdom of Brazil where they sent out a plea for help as they were under attack from the one known as rsuttles58. Rebelman being a knight and a gentlman could not refuse this request, he brought with him a few trusted soldiers and a magic card making spell he had retrieved in the battle against reptile.
This proved to be rebelman's greatest victory yet aided in no small way by the card making spell he defeated the evil rsuttles58 who called him charlie (this was a good thing considering charlies form against the yanks). Once again rebelman was offered the spoils of war and this time he and his men did party with the local women as it would have been a huge insult not to. From the evil rsuttles58 he took 28 points which he place in his war chest alongside the 50 he gained from reptile.
Our brave hero has now been called into battle in Montreal, once again he accepts the challenge not knowing what danger awaits him. He and his men are now tired and weary after the partying and womanising in Brazil but they do not want to leave the people of montreal down so once again they set forth into battle with their heads held high as their leader is now a private first class, but can they last much longer ???? all will be revealed.

Awesome.
Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

There's nothing wrong with that. I enjoyed it. I'm sure the others will as well.
Thanks optimus, i aim to please

The upset has happened and the rebel army marches into the next round 50 points richer. Thanks for the game reptile.
Nice. So that means i've got an easy road to the 3rd round. JK

The newest bracket is up and it includes all completed games as of 9:39am this morning. There are no new games to be made as the advancing players are still waiting for their opponents.
game 855005, The Kid finally falls to the stalwart clan of AfroDwarves. Having subjugated all the land around them, they board their ironclads and set off for the new world, where the heathen worshipers of the the diceties await.
(Yeah I know, it's not rebel, but it's still fun )
If spidey is up for it, I'd like to have a rematch in Brazil. The game should have had chained fortifications, and had unlimited. I didn't notice until I read your first post and checked it again, but it did make a big difference in the game. I was centralized and needed one territory to complete a continent, so I picked it up and forted all my men to the borders. Shouldn't have been able to do that in this tournament.

You are correct. That shouldn't have happened. My fault all the way. I'll take care of it. I had better recheck that other Brazil game as well....
I'm very sorry to have to do this guys, but BaldAdonis and spidey as well as rsuttles58 and rebelman are going to have to replay their games. I accidentally created them as unlimited fortifications and that is not the way it should be.

Gonna need a new one for me and Godd, too. Joined it just before I noticed that setting.

If it has to happen it has to happen but would have preferred if I got a pm first before reading it in here. I'm happy to replay the game what about the 28 points though is there a way they can be transfered back without me losing on purpose which i would never do.
PS I intend to win the rematch - lets get it on

This tournament will feature 1 vs. 1 games with Flat Rate cards and Chained fortifications (in order to eliminate the 'first turn' advantage so thoroughly discussed in the forums).
Im happy to replay but the same conditions existed for both me and my opponent and it was actually he had the first mover advantage which you were trying to counteract so there arguably would be a case for letting the result stand. The key to ouf match was not fortifications it was cards and looking back over the game many fortifications would have been the same if it was chained.
That said I have already stated I will replay under the correct settings but I'm not a happy bunny about this.
