is there chat in the games at the sites? what i would rather see happen is we join games using stolen maps, and tell the other users what is going down.
I've noticed there are no forums at the site - the closest thing is the Yahoo! room, in which my attempts to post have been blocked.

Same. I'm in 1 game at the site, and there's chat. One guys talked about a good spaghetti recipe - but I've yet to spring the theft comment on them.
No matter what any other site has done, it would be a truly sad showing on CC community's part to purposefully attempt to damage the hard work of someone else. I sincerely hope that none of you attempt any of this.
I will contact Mr Brun and attempt get the maps pulled on behalf of the authors involved. If you would like to keep your maps there you can approach the webmaster individually.
Thanks for showing such strong support for CC, but pretty please, don't do anything silly
Have a good one

No..."we" wont be doing that oaktown
I'm not going to let you organize a troll dump on another site from here. I can't control what you do in your own time, but I can and will stop any attack being planning in these forums.
We try to keep pretty good relations with our "neighbours" and will try to resolve this amicably, but if we cannot, do try to refrain yourselves from being the dickheads

you're right of course, Twill... I'm just venting. I haven't started any games on that site, nor am I going to... it wouldn't be right to screw the poor saps that are stuck playing there.
Best case scenario is Brun removes the maps in question, or at least redesigns them so they aren't such blatant copies. It's extremely easy to cross the line of what is appropriate when it comes to copyright on the internet, because it's so easy to pick something off the web, tweak it, and call it our own. I guess this is a good lesson to those of us who make maps here, that when we "borrow" somebody else's work that somebody might be a bit pissed.
Good Luck Twill - I've had lots of correspondence with Bryan, and he claims that the maps are unique enough to be his. He didn't even consider taking them down. Take a look at Benelux also. A direct copy of the original.
