I'd be curious how the divisions will be drawn after the first round...
Will it be based on tourney standing (aka number of wins) or current ranking placement (as in how high in the divisions we are in round 1)?

I simply take the Top 18 and divide them into three groups. 1-6, 7-12, and 13-18. It's the least complicated way and is somewhat similar to how I originally put people into groups by score at the beginning of the tournament.

Down to 1 active game at this point. Once it has finished we can move on to the Second Round.

Can you update the standings to see if this game will have any bearing on who advances?

It does have bearing. You need to win it, coded. :)

Standings are now updated. The final game is still relevant because a player in it can still make the top 18 if they win.

The final active game from Cycle 3 is in something of a deadlock at round 19. At the moment I cannot finalize the Top 18 to advance because if Firestar wins this game they advance, if they don't then they don't advance.

So, we are waiting for someone to win, or for the game to hit 50 rounds so I can use BOB to determine the winner as outlined in the tournament guidelines I set forth at the beginning.

Regards, OP

The final game of Cycle 3 is now at the halfway point for cutting it off due to a stalemate. Hopefully it finishes soon.

The last game has completed, and we are on to the Second Round!

I have reset the overall and division standings and have sent the Cycle 4 games to all players. When those games are finished we will shuffle the divisions (like we did previously) and move to Cycle 5. The players in the Top 6 of the overall standings at the completion of all 16 games from the Second Round will advance to the Finals.

Good luck!

grant.gordon has lost his premium membership and cannot continue. So, JoJo123, who finished 19th in the first round will be notified to take his place.
