Is it true that Fort Knox hasn't been audited since the 70s?
jay_a2j wrote:Why? Well according to this cop, the businesses "pay off" the inspectors. Yeah, you heard it right..... they are given hush money to leave them alone
Freeport, the "big city" near here is kinda notorious for the amount of corruption going on. My friend bribed a cop when she was 16, during a traffic stop. It's everwhere, people see that easy cash....

But I can't fathom why a Christian would doubt these things
That's a good thought I think, if you're a Christian. So long as your not trying to shove a square peg into a round hole. But I think everyone can at least respect the fact that you know what you believe.

Oh no doubt about that. The problem here is that you think they're all part of some secret conspiracy, while we think they're just a bunch of greedy, corrupt bastards.
For instance there are several Chinese restaurants in the area in which I live. A cop I know has been involved in raids of these places, he is aware that when inspected by the Health Department, they have failed. But they have never shut down and are still in business today. Why? Well according to this cop, the businesses "pay off" the inspectors. Yeah, you heard it right..... they are given hush money to leave them alone. So what if they are serving cat instead of chicken? or that cockroaches infest the place?
This is news?
Furthermore, how can anyone familiar with prophecy be so adamantly against the thought that things are going on, out of view of the public, to bring about a stage in which the antichrist will preside over? And if prophecy is correct, it must take some time to set up. This stuff is not going to happen overnight. Scripture says he will have power over all people! Allowing them to buy and sell. Yeah, a new world order where all transactions can be monitored, all banks are derived from the same source is absolutely nutty....... to those that do not believe what scripture says. Not everyone interprets prophecy the same. Doomsayers have been active for thousands of years, and every single time they claimed that the world would end soon it didn't. So why is now different?

jay_a2j wrote:So maybe luns knows, but I don't know who these audit people are. I do know that every year legislation is put forth to audit the Fed and it never passes.
The Ultimate Warrior thing was just a satirical joke because people make reference to the eye & pyramid on the back of the one-dollar bill. It wasn't directed at you specifically, Jay.

The reason that it does make a difference as far as the Fed being audited is because it's one of the pillars that people use in order to further the case that the government is plotting financial disaster to force us into accepting a new monetary standard (Amero for example). The Federal Reserve is not private...it is public. It has been audited numerous times.

Currently, it is audited by the General Accounting Office, the Comptroller of the United States, and the Office of Inspector General of the Governing Board. Why would you need to pass a bill to audit something which is already under the law (Public Law 95-320 passed in 1978)? It's an independent body within the government with government oversight...it's not private. You can see for yourself the results of the audit every year if you have adobe.

That's a fair point, Jay.

However, if I recall correctly...you do not subscribe to a premillenial interpretation and I do. If I'm wrong on that correct me, but I do believe you started a thread once about how your faith was shaken and you no longer believed in the rapture. I do believe that this rapture will take place sometime in the future. (See, this is where I'll get ridiculed by the lefties  )

Yes, the events described in scripture are shaping up and it looks like we could soon see the rise of the one-world leader described in both Daniel and Revelation. I don't worry about it though because from what I've studied I won't be around to witness the events here on earth. It's more like this - I may not be able to predict the exact time or date of a storm but when I see dark clouds forming and the wind starts to pick up, I know it will begin soon. But I've got no way of knowing the exact circumstances of how it will commence.

You are bringing issues to the forefront, but you're drawing conspiratorial conclusions from them based on half-truths. I mean, what if this was the way believers thought back in the first century? - the conspiracy headlines would read: "Octavius Resurrects Secret Military Triumverate", "Illegal Census Seeks To Constrict Travel Freedoms", "Herodian Buildings To Be Used As Secret Judean Control Centers", or "Eastern Magi Among Us - Beware!" Those historical events had to take place in order to fulfill prophecy...but there was nothing conspiratorial about them.

It's just all the more reason to dedicate my life to helping the poor & hurting people of the world through my church...and I know that you are serious about helping anyone you can within your power, Jay. ;)

luns, just hope you don't abandon your faith if the rapture (pre-trib.) doesn't happen. Because I presume that many will "turn away from the faith" if it doesn't.

"Wait, I'm not supposed to be here! The rapture was supposed to happen! What a disappointment! I might as well take this stupid mark and feed my family since what I believed turned out to be false, who's to say anything else I believe is true or not."

This may be a danger Christians might have to confront. If it happens, great but if not I don't want my faith resting in that basket.

In other news.... Spring training is almost over! Lets go Mets!

There's going to be alot of that for sure Jay partialy because most "christian's" faith is a house built on the sand that is some church instead of the rock.

Luns, when you hurt people of the world through your church is it physical or emotional?

Guys guys, listen. The NWO is only a April Fools joke, just to get people who are *slightly* conspiracy theorists just so they can round them up..

Don't rub it in, Jay. We Cubs fans are still upset over the miracle of 1969.

Im sorry, but i'v seemed to have wondered onto a thread of people who think their opinion matters. They will do what they like and we will have to live with the concequences. The leaders wont be affected, the commmon people will be.

So will it make our lives better or worse, we will find out soon enough and our opinions wont matter.

Although America is mostly to blame for current financial hole we are in, getting another bunch of bonus greedy fools to look after the worlds money, probably wont make any differance, just next time it wont be the Americans fault.

Nothing to fear at all but we should prepare ourselves for slavery. We just need to RAP. Realize it, Accept it, and Prepare for it. ;)
