I hope there is nothing at #0TaCktiX wrote:Collections are #1 on the priority list, as they'll fix most of R&C's bloat by needing to copy entire territory lists 20-something times. I don't know how much Lack is intending to do XML-wise, but there are other things at #2 and #3.

Any chance of Andy dropping by and commenting?Victor Sullivan wrote:Nothing, I'm afraid. Besides lack, only Andy knows what's on lack's to-do list. We rarely get advance notice of anything, and if we do, it's not that far in advance.
-Sully
He usually peruses the Foundry on his weekday-ly rounds. You can always PM or wall him, too-=- Tanarri -=- wrote:Any chance of Andy dropping by and commenting?Victor Sullivan wrote:Nothing, I'm afraid. -SullyI know I'm being impatient, but I've been following this map for a year and a half (or has it been longer?) and I'm really hoping it'll get released before my premium runs out in a couple months so that I'll have a chance to play some speed games since I can't commit to casual games at this point.
Obviously I'm not Andy, but I confirm to you that this update is 100% on Lack to-do list. We had a chat the other day exactly about this. Unfortunately right now is not possible for me to say you when this changes will come...don't forget the foundry is just a part of the site, Lack hasn't just a single wish list to read.-=- Tanarri -=- wrote:Any chance of Andy dropping by and commenting?Victor Sullivan wrote:Nothing, I'm afraid. I'm confused... when TaCKtiX said he could confirm that XML was 'the next on the update list', was he referring to the main update list (ie. Lack is currently working on the code) or was the list he referring to just the foundry wishlist and hence it could be done after several other gameplay/community/site updates?thenobodies80 wrote:Obviously I'm not Andy, but I confirm to you that this update is 100% on Lack to-do list. I disagree. Our best case scenario is that someone invests a lot of money in CC so the site can contract a ton of web programmers to work in the updates-=- Tanarri -=- wrote:Unfortunately I suspect you're not going to be so far off DiM. Updates around here for the site ususally happen around once every 3-4 months. Since we're already in August without the non-XML update, our best case scenario for the XML is gonna be Christmas. Funny thing is that there's been groups of people who have gotten together and offered to pay for a web developer to put in features that they wanted and it still went nowhere. From what I understand it's not so much a money issue as a Lack finding the time to look for a good and reliable web developer. Rumour has it that there's been at least two, maybe three, attempts and they've all bailed rather quickly on usOliverFA wrote:I disagree. PS: some of the newer people might not get that joke and some of the old ones might have forgotten it.

So that's time available finally to work on getting some graphical touches on this and making the gameplay extremely readable. If we do this right, you all shall have your R&C by Christmas.
