Aha, so betiko was prob unaware of the extra rule/clarifiction.

I get it now, thought there must be a reason for the stance.

So now you can play classic 100 times for a 100 game streak, but only the first of those 100 games counts towards your Bot Was I Thinking...that kind of changes things...oh well, there's always sassbot

I could very well be wrong, but I don't remember seeing that statement.

i wanted to allow players to go for a streak on their best maps without screwing with their shot at Bot was i thinking.

Yes, I agree with his rule change.

No

I lost a game on a map I had already won on so that doesnt count for the map-thingy,. The map thingy and win streak are seperate, unless you are the TO and changed the rules?

Any additional games played on a map you've already defeated whamBot or SassBot on will not be included in your final score

Nah nah na nah nah

[/quote]

ok, but for a tie breaker, given that on your second shot you've lost on it, I don' t understand how you could win. I didn't understand that it was on your second attempt on it; but yet the tie breaker rules are not very clear. By the way, I extended my win streak by 18 on 6 different maps. how would that go?

unconquered 90/90
bot was I thinking 78/78?

also I'm not sure, but I think that tripitaka has also beaten whambot on all 72 maps with no loss.

Yes I have, twice over, but since the TO decided to change the start date of the tournament without any warning, the first set of 72 don't count now, which I think is ridiculous!

Edit: Ok I'm an idiot and apparently see things that aren't there! Got the original start date wrong - it was later not earlier. #-o

Initial start date was the 26th of october and he advanced it to the 13th. Given that you have all the time you want to play for this, how the hell did the advancement of the start date change someting for you? Your 72 wins would ve counted even less with the original start date.

My bad, I could have sworn it was brought forward and not back - hence my complaint.

As for having "all the time you want to play for this", we don't. The proposed end date wasn't even announced in the first post and only after I and several others asked the TO about it in this thread, were we given a vague 2-3 months. Given that this isn't a first past the post tourney, it would be nice to know exactly how long we have, especially for those going for longest streak.

My new rule is that tie-break games for the map thingy are games decided by me, not the TO.

greenoaks wrote:If there is a draw we will have a play-off similar to those used for golfing majors.

I will select some maps & settings and all those tied will play a game. If more than 1 player wins we'll have a 2nd play-off for the remaining players. This will continue until only 1 winner remains. If all tied players lose, that play-off game will be replayed.

add my name to the list of those 71/71 on 71 maps against sassbot without loss or repetition please...

betikos setteings of escalating proved much more useful in comebacks than no spoils...

love to see the programs add an

if >=4 troops and next to player 1 attack.... would improve the bots skill a lot i think ... they lack the kill all humans "instinct"

thanks to the entertainment committee

=D> =D> =D>
I wish either my father or my mother, or indeed both of them as they were in duty both equally bound to it, had minded what they were about when....

If 2 player fog game, please allow 12 hour snap courtesy, or post what I could have seen.... Thank you

How about wham-bot-thank-you-maam ??

I think its 72 maps btw :-)

I did Sass-bot in 73 games for the 72 maps so you are the leader for level 2 map thingy out of those who have posted.

;)

Plus, you have 80 straight wins on Sassbot so you are also in the lead for Level 2 streak-thingy.

EDIT whoops 72/72... i thought i'd already won alexanders empoire, but didint see it on game finder , so just did it ; 72/72 since 10/13/13 evening...
my 9 other victoris were all on games started before the official start , so they dont count ..

Edit ; to answer teflon chris's question i won 30-40 or so on whambot and then lost italy i think , so thated be 40 wins...
i was playing those no spoils , and after betiko reached his perfect mark mainly using escalating , i tried that.. it's a lot safer , you can still come back from some attrocious drops and dice

Yup i did 100% escalating! ;) ok so i m sassboting only for silver now, given that i already have a loss and that timecrisis managed the perfect.

There will be a level 3&4 soon i guess. There are some major differences between sass and wham s gameplays that i didn t notice until i did this marathon.

I'm at 21 straight on sassboT in the streak contest (through the E's). Just passed the map on which I lost to whamboT. A long way to go yet.

I'm out of all. Thanks to the Entertainment Team and greenoaks for organizing. It was fun! (A bit embarrassing to lose to robots, but fun nonetheless). ;)

And...I lost on the next map. I'm out of the streak contests. Will finish the Bot was I thinking games and post when done, but I think someone ran the table for each of the bots, so I don't have a shot.

I'm up to 117 wins vs sassbot , first 72 on 72 maps... going around again through holy roman empire so far
betiko was perfect on whambot
was greenoaks also perfect on whambot? i was not and have no streak there

my suggestion, though its changing the rules , is consider an arbutrary end to streks; e.g anyone who's 144 (2 win's on each map) or 150 wins anywhere, ties , or something like that , otherwise the TO may have to watch this thing forever; esp if people chose to only play the maps that are too large for the bots to have more than a very slim chance... but i guess you'd need agreement from those in contention

also congrats to Gilligan :-)

Finished all maps with Whambot. 79 games to win on all 72 maps. Oy! Sassbot next - picking up where I lost my streak. Figured I'd finish out the games. It'll put be close to the bronze and I don't expect to play the bots often.

Go around as much as you want - wins will only count for your streaky bacon.

betiko doesn't make the rules, even if he convinces Gilligan & yourself.

The TO stated he will arrange play-offs for those who cleared the maps with an equal record.

So, that means all those who cleared wham-bam-thank-you-mam with no defeats (in the first game on each map) will play-off. Same for Sassparilla.

Hopefully the TO will arrange the play-offs soon (maybe he might go for a bunch of games on small bonus-monkey maps with the bots favorite settings).

As the TO stated he will arrange play-offs, then they haven't therefore started yet (unless betiko has a time machine).

went around a second time out of obsessiveness; but lost due to bad dice bad drop and mainly bad play after 136 wins , so ends my streak on sassbot...

i htink there are a few games adn settings it may be almost impossible to lose
