Actually you could do worse than read "The Mythology of the Secret Societies", I think it's by J H Plumb - some fairly respected historian anyhow.
Although written several decades ago, it has quite a lot tot say to modern Truthers etc.
I don't think my copy managed to come with me when I moved across the Atlantic, so I can't give you any direct quotes.

OK. You only missed one important symbol. The hammer and sickle the shoulder patch of the army office. That symbolizes the old Soviet Union, and of course that is Uncle Sam symbolizing the United States on the other side. OK, what is the narrative you can get from these symbols?

I knew that was the soviet union. But i thought it was showing it to use it as a "cover" for foreign nations. I think that the devil is controling both so that they wage war on each other until they almost destroy each other. The fat mafia guy some how gains power becuase people want to overturn their government?? Like the russians? The scientist makes money becuase both sides keep buying nuclear weapons?? Yeah, I'd say so. I don't see the "devils" as demons but as symbols of evil. So this is a narrative of the Cold War in which some big shots made a lot of money and used power to keep the puppets US and Soviet Union at each other throats. The illuminati are who?

Well, if you are smart enough to get as far as you did, you can figure the rest out. Just ask yourself who is in control? If you want more than that you are going to have to read up a bit. I suggest Howard Zinn's "A People's History of the United States" for starters. It may not tell you anything about the illuminati, but it will help you understand how power flows.
