Apparently, the epicenter of this virus is a pig farm in Mexico, owned by an American company. Locals have been complaining of unsanitary and dangerous conditions at the plant for years. I guess those Mexicans should just be glad that us educated, clean, Americans want to invest in their country.

So the fact that the mortality rate being only 2.5 to 5 percent of people that were infected doesn't tell you something? You mean to tell me that the people were so poorly tuned into cleanliness standards right after WWI, and that they were all in such diminished physical shape, by and large, did not play a significant role in transmission of the disease, not to mention the fact that people were so widely moving about due to the war efforts, lending to wide spread exposure?

Its a bit of a cheap shot to respond to someone who cannot respond back, but I must point out that the one problem with the past flue epidemics is that they hit primarily HEALTHY, robust individuals.
