Fircoal, I don't think anyone is saying that these 9 are the best mafia mods on conquerclub at all. They are just saying that these are the ones who found the thread first, I didn't notice that thread straight away so I'm not on it, neither did you, other good mods like LSU Tiger Josh haven't even be mentioned, just gotta be extra patient I guess

Fircoal, stop arguing. The people that got in were the people on at the time. We wated to get the ticket in quickly, so we can get our forum quicker.

so I only need 1 game to join right? I modded jury duty mafia http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... duty+mafia and a few RTs. I only modded the first half of that game but im in the middle of co modding one with iliad now and another one with him later.

i just stumbled across this and i think there are probably a couple of things worth mentioning.

Obviously since everyone here likes mafia, its nice to be on the list and everyone wants to be. Also, everyone wants their games and the hard work they put into this to have value, so it would be great to be on the list. Anyone whose modded a game knows how hard it can be to do, and how difficult it can be to run a game everyone likes.

Having said all that, if everyone wants this thing to come into existence, its important to put egos aside and let the process work. There wont be a clan if people feel like its not going to work. Given time, people will probably be allowed to be in, especially if theres something you can add to make everyones games better. Its important for all of us to check the egos at the door here, since we all are here for the same reasons essentially. I woudlnt get too caught up into things at the moment, there are a lot of good mods here on this site, and plenty of people who will be in time.

Well, I dunno why I read all that but Fircoal should be in and should be more patient cuz they are gonna let him in.

And AD should definitely be the mod of this group as he is clearly the voice of reason around here.

And you need better defined rules as to what counts as a 'successfully' modded game. It's not hard to get 7 or 9 players to sign up, give them a role and let the game run it's course with the occasional vote count or scene. That does not make you a successful mod, you need to go above and beyond the bare minimum. But I'd say MOST of the people that have posted here wanting in are successful, but I do see a few who don't quite make the criteria in my eyes (and I'm sure most of you are on the same page with me).

Good luck, fellas. It would be excellent if all our mods had a private place to bounce ideas of one another and talk about setups. The only negative I see to this idea is that fact that mods also tend to be players and there could potentially be some conflicts of interest/shady things happening behind closed doors, so to speak.

There are many things that can go wrong, but nothing is perfect.

The problem I see, and many others do to, is that it may become too elitist. But I'd rather it be elitist than everoyne that has ever modded being able to join....I think it will be a good environement for mods that have good ideas, themes, and set-ups.

My idea was that mods with very successful games (Fircoal example) should be able to join - on top of that mods that have creative ideas.

Between me and AD, the idea that was going was that at any given time there are roughly 8-15 mafia games going in the forum - clan sponsored games will be 2-3 at a time, tops, and generally aimed at intermediate players. These games will be heavily discussed in advance, so they are **perfect**.

Once we get the clan rolling I'll talk about my banlist idea.

I can see all the other clans on the list but I can't see the mafia mods, have you guys been issued with a usergroup yet?
