look at Wickeds last post Suggsy ..... no wonder my Integrated Community Moderated Feedback system (did i mention i made a thread on this? ) bit the dust.. the plan was to impose.. then give us a feeling of victory at the small amendments which we clawed back...;)

open your eyes dear chap. Twill, can put this baby to rest, if he told every1 why he fired Wicked. But i bet you a dollarthat we wont hear anything from his lips!

They could be the voice of the community and hold twill accountable, since lack rarely has the time (or desire) to police him. But more importantly, they could be the voice of the community here and a liason for communications purposes. I dunno, just thinking off the top of my head here.

Oh come- on. Don't be driven by petty ambitions for "vengeance". I refrained to call you out on more (since I didn't want to add anymore grief to you), but what the hell? Do we need to write an official ConquerClub constitution? Introduce a parliament to decide over banning trolls from the forum or the chat?

We have a Forum Policy which suffices completely for having the Forums run properly- maybe not in your eyes, and not in the ones' that are sucking up to your "destroy-twill" cause, because you were wronged by the admins or mods... but show some maturity and leave it as it is- people will either see that your right or not.
More and more, this degenerates into a smearing campaign against twill- and more and more, I find it hard to believe you.

sorry Rashid, was just trying to brainstorm ideas to get the community-driven site (as defined by admins) more community driven. maybe not the best idea, but certainly a talking point. And if telling the truth smears twill, then so be it. I've no loyalty to him, I no longer have to publicly support him. All I'm doing is telling my story.

Well that's not what you said the first time you replied to it; but sure, why not change your stance now?

Well I misinterpreted you the first time, but then there was no context given so the misinterpretation was understandable. And no, I'm not changing my stance. I'm adding another argument based on my new understanding of the situation; one that is perfectly consistent with my first argument.

qeee1 wrote:2. that claiming that the site could be improved through democratic consultation prior to mods being fired is silly- this you ignored
Oh "Puhlease".

Smug though you may feel about your pedantic insistence on having people paraphrase you in tedious detail; nobody was ever seriously arguing against you on that point, so your making it was (1) irrelevant, and (2) self-evident.

Well I do think it's relevant and apparently not self evident as you didn't get it the first time round. You don't construct some sort of paraphrase on some issue having me repeating the same point over and over (looking like an imbecile) when in fact I made a second point relevant to the issue. A more accurate paraphrase would have been:

qeee1 wrote:We don't have any rights man. There's nothing we can do.
suggs wrote:Yeah, but we ought to have more rights. After all, isn't this place supposed to be about making a good experience for us?
qeee1 wrote:Well no, in certain situations those rights are not viable (example)

qeee1 wrote:Also stop saying mean things, that really hurts.
I can assure you that I too am cut deeply by such things. So don't worry, we can suffer together.

If I try to be anything, it's amusing, is that a crime?

As for democratic accountability, you can't expect the admins to disclose everything to you, nor can you expect every decision to be a popular one. In this case I've yet to be convinced of a problem, although it does sound like there are problems in other areas, as wicked pointed out.

P.S. Pretensions of intellect, isn't that a tad hypocritical?

We might not be able to expect it, though it would be nice. I don't see any harm coming from full disclosure of this issue, as I doubt it'll be revealing valuable business information or anything like that. At most it would reveal the ineptitude of one of the two (or both) parties. I see the unwillingness to do so as possibly telling.

so i just got a Pm from Twill for flaming in this thread. Seems a bit harsh.
Normally i dont tittle tattle about Mod warnings (its usually a fair cop) but the gloves are off with Twil now.
Lets disclose everything he does, fair or not.

re: the feedback. I posted a thread awhile back asking for community input about what they wanted out of a feedback system. The purpose was to get input as we worked on redesigning the system. At the time, I oversaw the feedback dept. and handled escalated/appealed feedback complaints, so I saw no problem in starting the discussion to gather input since it was my area (It would be like gimil starting a discussion about maps). After all, we were redesigning it for you all so you all should be involved in the process. So I made a thread, organized it, stickied it, and compiled the info as it came in. Lack thanked me for starting the thread, but Twill threw a hissy fit being the control freak that he is because it didn't go "through him". Twill's idea was to come up with a new system first, w/o any input from you guys, and only then throw it out for comments (I found this out after I made the thread). While that may have worked, I find it's more efficient for some things to get input at the beginning of the planning stages, rather than at the end.

Thanks Jim.
Unbelievable! So the whole consultation thing was a sham?

Lyme's is a tough illness, I had that for weeks a few years back. Hope you get well soon. I think it's safe to say we all will miss you.

C'mon H5O- these kinds of posts and trolling is in fact the reason for this madness.
